"The Chief Herald of Ireland"."
1943
- 1963 AD
Sir
Basil Brooke
/ Lord Brookeborough
of Colebrook
near Brookeborough in
Co. Fermanagh
in the south - west of the Ulster Province, who had
instigated the
"B" Special Police there,
January 15th: The "Anti - Treaty IRA" members Hugh Mac Ateer, Patrick Donnelly, James Steele and Edward Maguire were able to "escape" from the Crumlin Prison in Belfast in Co. Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province in the 6 Counties "artificially partitioned" from the 9 Counties in Ulster Province still under the control of the Ascendancy "Official" Unionist Stormont Government.
March 21st:
300
suspected
Irish prisoners were held in
Derry Jail in
Co. Derry in the north - east of the
Ulster Province by the Ascendancy "Official Unionist Stormont Government and
21
of these
prisoners were able to "tunnel" out of there, and of these 15
were "re - captured" when they crossed into the
26 Counties in
Eire by the
Garda / Irish police
and locked up, which
"upset" many in Ireland
as all
up there were to be
2,500 Irish
prisoners "interred" in the
6
Counties "artificially partitioned" from the
9 Counties in the Ulster
Province still under the control of
the British Imperial
Government and the
"Official" Unionist Stormont Governments and
also
2,500 in
Eire,
while the
"War "was in progress.
June 22nd:
Proportional Representation
was bought in, in the 26 Counties in Eire, which was to create a
multiplicity of political "Parties" from now on leading to government "instability"
due to the many Party "coalitions" as it seemed the fairer method, but "votes" could
be transferred and this defeated the "primary" vote system that had created
stronger "individual" Parties and
General Elections
were
held and
Sean Mac Cool
the
Chief of Staff of the "Anti - Treaty IRA"
who
was locked away was standing as a
Republican candidate for the seat in
East
Co. Donegal, which was still in
the 26 Counties
in
Eire although it was the most
"northern " County in Ireland and he went on a
"hunger strike," but he did no good as all the
"extremists" fared badly. The
Munster - Connacht
Farmer's political group the
Clan na Talmhan
under their
leaders
William Davin
and
Michael Donnellan won
10 seats and Independent Farmers another
5.
The
Irish Labour Party
also gained seats and
the Fianna Fail
Party under
the leadership of Eammon de Valera "lost"
10 seats winning
only
67 this time around, while the
Fine
Gael Party also "lost"
13 seats winning only
32
against
45 previously.
71
of the seats were now held in total by
the many "Opposition
Parties" to the
Fianna Fail Party's
67
and
Eammon de Valera was now not feeling very
"secure."
July 4th:
Jack Griffith
was machine gunned off of his "bicycle" by the
Special Branch and was the
"last"
fatal shooting in
Eire.
July 9th: The Irish Labour
Party was calling on
Gerald Boland
the
Minister for Justice
in
Eire to release
the 3
"Anti - Treaty IRA"
prisoners
who had been on the
"hunger
strike"
since
24th May, and during the debate he
insinuated that "Invasion Plans"
had been found during the raid on the
German agent,
Goertz / Brandy,
which
was not correct and had distressed
Goertz.
July 27th:
Eduard Hemple
the German Ambassador
protested over the release of
British
and
American fliers in
Eire, who
the Irish Government considered were only on
"training flights," while the
German fliers were
"interred" as
they were in conflict.
September:
Seamus O Donovan
the "Anti
- Treaty IRA" sympathiser
was "released" from prison in
Eire.
October 1st:
Constable Patrick Mac Carthy
was shot "dead," and an "assassination" attempt was made on
Det. Inspector
Fanning
in the
6 Counties "artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the
Ulster Province and still under the control of the
Ascendancy "Official" Unionist Stormont Government.
October 6th:
Hugh Mac Ateer
the Chief of Staff of the Anti - Treaty IRA and
O Reilly
were captured in
Eire,
but
Hugh Mac Ateer managed to escape.
November 21st:
Hugh Mac Ateer
was "recaptured" and the "Anti - Treaty IRA"
activities in
Belfast in
Co. Antrim in the north - east of the 6
Counties "artificially partitioned" from the
9 Counties in the
Ulster Province was bought to an end.
December 16th:
John O Reilly
/ Pat O Brien
to
Irish Radio listeners "parachuted" from a
German
plane and landed at
Kilkee
in Co. Clare
in the north - west of the
Munster Province whose mission
was to send metrological reports to their shipping and was "arrested" by the
Eire Garda /
Irish police.
December 19th:
John Kenny
returning from
Germany to
Ireland "parachuted" from a
German plane near
Kilfearnagh in
Co. Clare
also, who was supposed to
send metrological reports to their shipping but he also was "arrested" by the
Eire Garda /
Irish police
and
J.P. Walshe
protested to
Eduard Hemple
the
German Ambassador
about his
holding onto the radio transmitter and that he either "handed it over" or it would
be destroyed.
December 21st:
Eduard Hemple handed over the
"radio transmitter"
he had in his possession, which was placed
in a bank for safe keeping.
December 28th:
164 Naval ratings were picked up
in the Bay of Biscay
by the
Irish freighter
"Kerlogue" after a battle of
"destroyers" there and were landed at
Cobh in Co. Cork
in Southern Munster.
The
British
Government introduced
"Welfare" for all the people in the
6 Counties
"artificially partitioned" from the
9 Counties in the
Ulster Province
still under their
control and Catholics
and
non - Catholics
there began
to "share"
Air Raid Shelters
and actually got
to know one another.
Over
500 of the "Anti - Treaty
IRA"
members were held in the
Curragh
Prison in
Eire
up to
5 years
with over
2,000
passing through there altogether.
The King of Arms was transferred from the Ulster Province to the College of Arms in England, and The Chief Herald of Ireland was "created" which was also the Genealogical Office incorporating all of the Irish Families.
