1971 AD - 2 March - July
"S.D.L. P. / Social Democratic Party Recognized."
March 10th:
In the 6 Counties "artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the Ulster
Province, the bodies of
John Mac Caig,
Joseph Mac Caig and
Dougall Mac Caughy who were members of the
British
Imperial Military Forces from
the Royal Highlands Fusiliers
were discovered near Belfast Airport
in the north -
east of Co. Antrim in the
Ulster Province as they
had been out to a bar where they had run into members of the "Provisional Anti -
Treaty I.R.A. - Provos" and were
basically only young Scottish
youths and everyone in Ireland was "shocked" by their deaths
and the
British Conservative
Government then put out an order recalling
all of their British Imperial Forces under 18 years of age.
William Hull
who was from the Belfast Shipyards in Co. Antrim led a march of his workers to the
Stormont Parliament expressing the non - Catholic anger over the
"killings" of such
young people demanding "Internment without Trial"
for any "Anti -
Treaty I.R.A." suspects.
In these 6 Counties
"artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the Ulster
Province, Major
James Dawson
Chichester - Clark the
Ascendancy "Official"
Unionist Stormont Prime Minister was in big "trouble" once again, but instead of doing something positive, all he did was to appeal to the the British Conservative Government to bring in,
"Internment
without Trial" to which they "refused" to do and informed him that they were of
the opinion that the British Imperial Military
Forces would return the
6 Counties, still under their control to an
"acceptable normality."
March 17th: In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned" from the 9 Counties in the Ulster Province, Major James Chichester - Clark the Ascendancy "Official" Unionist Stormont Prime Minister went over to England once again to try and obtain increased "military" assistance from the British Conservative Government, so they gave him another 1,000 British Military Force and also more "armoured cars," but personally by now he had "run his race," and he informed Edward Heath the British Conservative Prime Minister, that he could no longer carry on as the Prime Minister in these 6 Counties in Ulster Province.
March 18th:
In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned" from
the 9 Counties in the Ulster Province,
Lord Carrington and
Sir
Geoffrey Baker
the British Imperial Military
Chief of the General Staff, arrived in Belfast in Co.
Antrim from England
and tried to get
Major
James Chichester - Clark to
stay on
as the Prime Minister for them in these 6 Counties in
Ulster Province that were still under their control,
and the British Military Defence Secretary also saw him later on again to reconsider his position, but he was
determined to "step down."
March 22nd:
In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the Ulster
Province,
Major James Dawson
Chichester - Clark
"resigned" his position, and received a
Peerage from the British Conservative
Government when he was created Lord
Myola, as the 5th Prime
Minister of these
6 Counties in Ulster
Province
during the 50 years of total Ascendancy
"Official"
Unionist control there as they all had been
from the English Establishment
/ Old Boys including
Sir James Craig
/ Lord
Craigavon, Andrews, Brooke/
Lord Brookeborough,
Sir
Terence O Neill
/ Lord
O Neill and
Sir
James Chichester - Clark / Lord Myola, attending either
Eton or
Oxford there.
March 23rd:
In these 6 Counties
"artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the Ulster
Province,
Arthur "Brian" Faulkner,
a "Presbyterian" from
Co. Down one of these
6 Counties in Ulster
Province,
who had
previously been Sir Major James
Chichester - Clark's second
in command,
became the "last" Prime Minister of these
6 Counties
in Ulster province with
26 votes when he "defeated" the other Ascendancy Unionist hard - line
anti - Catholic
Sir
William Craig who received only
4
votes, to become the new
Ascendancy
"Official" Unionist Party "leader" as his
particular disposition had suited the other hard - line Unionists better. Later on he
would also be created
Baron
Faulkner by the British
Conservative Government, and his opponent
Sir William Craig
stated at this time,
that he would "only last a year," a prediction that
was surely to come about.
May End:
In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the Ulster
Province, some of the members of the
"Provisional Anti - Treaty IRA / Provos"
bombed a bar in the
Shankhill Road without warning,
and
Brian Faulkner the new
Ascendancy "Official" Unionist Prime
Minister in these 6 Counties
in
Ulster Province demanded that the
British Imperial Military Forces from now on were to "fire" on all suspicious persons.
June 22nd: In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned" from the 9 Counties in the Ulster Province, proposals were now put forward for "further reform" and Brian Faulkner the Ascendancy "Official" Unionist Stormont Prime Minister intended, for once, to recommend a "whole new positive" Committee system for the Stormont Government to bring in 3 Advisory Committees that would include the appointment of 2 Irish Catholics from the S.D.L. P. / Social Democratic Party to the chairmanship of two of them, but he was then verbally "attacked" by the Rev. Ian Paisley the hard - line religious bigot for even suggesting "such a thing" although the "Provisional Anti - Treaty IRA / Provos" were not too excited about it either.
July 7th: In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned" from the 9 Counties in the Ulster Province, during the Easter marches the "Official Anti - Treaty I.R.A." became known as the Stickies after sticking on their paper Lillies with adhesive, while their other half the "Provos / Provisional Anti - Treaty I.R.A.'s" new title was Stickybacks as they used a "pin" to secure them instead and during the march by the junior Orangemen on the Tuesday in East Belfast in Co. Antrim an "nti - Treaty I.R.A. Provisional" opened "fire" on them, shooting 4, while on the Springfield Road also a "bomb" was thrown into the police barracks and Sergeant Willets was "killed" who was to be awarded the George Cross for bravery when he saved an Irish Catholic woman and two children together with another man by his actions.
July 8th:
In these 6 Counties "artificially partitioned" from
the 9 Counties in the Ulster Province,
"riots" began again in the
Bogside
area at Derry in Co. Derry, which was
still
under the control of the
British Military Anglian Regiment and 2
Irish Catholics were "killed" by the
British
Imperial Military Forces there after an armoured
car was rammed and the Royal Military Anglian
Regiment came under "attack" by the
"Anti - Treaty I.R.A," as they came to it's assistance, and one of these was
Desmond Beattie
a
19 year old unemployed youth
who was "shot dead" with one shot. The other man
who was "killed" was
Seamus Cusack a 28 year old who was at that time
just walking along the street in the morning,
and the "Anti - Treaty P.I.R.A. / Provisional Anti - Treaty IRA / Provos" then organized a
"rally" in
protest against the unecessary "killings" at the
Bogside.
Ruairi O Bradaigh
the President of
the "political" Provisional
Sinn Fein Party stated that the
Republicans
will have to bring down the Ascendancy "Official"
Unionist
Government in Stormont
if the "Troubles" were ever going to "end"
in these 6 Counties in
Ulster Province, and
Maire Drumm
their Vice
- President declared that "everyone" should now "join" the "Anti - Treaty I.R.A." to try and get the
British
Imperial Government "out" of Ireland altogether to
"stop" the "madness."
In these 6 Counties
"artificially partitioned"
from the 9 Counties in the Ulster
Province,
Brian Faulkner
the Prime Minister
of the Ascendancy
"Official"
Unionist Stormont Government was expressing his
"personal view" now,
"That out of the evil in Derry may come some good," while once again
he was
pushing
Edward Heath
the Conservative British Prime Minister in
England to allow him to bring in more negativity by allowing him to
introduce,
"Internment without Trial" in these 6 Counties
in Ulster Province still under their
control.
July 23rd:
In these 6 Counties
"artificially partitioned" from the 9
Counties in the
Ulster Province, hundreds of the
British Imperial Military
Forces now
carried out further "raids" on the "homes" of the people in these
6 Counties, after a list was drawn up of
suspects including anyone the Ascendancy "Official"
Unionist Government thought was "against them," and by co - incidence they were nearly all
Irish
Catholics, so the
S.D.L. Party
met
under
John Hume
to discuss the previous "killing" of the
2
innocent Irish Catholic men in
Derry, and
Gerry Fitt
their leader withdrew the
S.D.L.P. / Social Democratic Labour Party from
the
Ascendancy
"Official"
Unionist controlled
Stormont Parliament
as Lord Balniel, the Conservative Minister of Defence,
had "refused" to hold an "inquiry" into the previous "deaths" of
Seamus Cusack
and
Desmond Beattie.
Gerry Fitt also demanded
that the British Conservative Government
"withdraw" their British Military Forces out of
Ireland altogether.
Once again the Ascendancy "Official"
Unionist
Government
were free of any real chance of any "Opposition"
in the Stormont Parliament in these
6 Counties and the
"ultimate prison"
to be known as "The Maze" at
Lisburn near Long Kesh in
Co. Antrim was already being "set up"
by the Ascendancy "Official"
Unionist
Stormont Government to be used as their
"Internment Camp."
July 31st:
In these
6
Counties "artificially partitioned" from the
9 Counties in the
Ulster Province, to create "greater pressure" on the population there the
British
Conservative Government's
Military Forces were moved into
Derry in Co. Derry where the
"Anti - Treaty I.R.A."
had their "No Go"
areas, which they had originally set up to "protect" the
Irish Catholic residents there, and to try and keep the chance
of any "clashes" occurring, while at the same time
Reginald Maudling the
British Conservative Government's Overseerer in
England of these 6 Counties
went on
T.V. there in England mentioning that he was intending to bring in
"Internment without Trial" in
these 6 Counties in Ireland
that were still under their control.
The "Provisional Anti - Treaty IRA /
Provos" had constantly increased their
"bombings" there in these 6 Counties in
Ulster Province during June and
July and by now had exploded 125 devices.
