The Vikings raid the island of Iona (The Holy Island of Saints) again, situated between Ireland and the Scottish Highlands, this time killing 68 of the unarmed monks who were there.

807 AD The monastic community was now also slaughtered in Cork in Co. Cork in Southern Munster in a inter religious battle with the monastic community to the north from Clonfert in Co. Galway in the south - west of Connacht.

The Vikings now began their raids further inland, and into the north in the Connacht Province, and in Co. Galway in the south - west of Connacht also came under attack.

Because of the previous immense slaughter the monks on Iona / Holy Island were now to be driven out temporarily by the Vikings, from their island, and they returned to the mainland to Kells / Ceanannus Mor (The Head Fort) in Co. The Book of Kells, which is designated "The Most Beautiful Book in the World" was also to be finalized there, made up of 344 pages that include the Gospels in Latin, together with local land covenants. It was originally encased in a golden shrine, until it was to be stolen and found buried a few weeks later with the golden cover missing, but the book itself still exists and can be viewed at the Trinity College in Dublin. Unfortunately like so many other Irish relicts the Crozier of Kells is still held in the British Museum.

The Book of Armagh, which was also written at this time by Ferdomnach, a monk from Armagh in the Ulster Province, is the only book containing the New Testament in Latin that has was to survive the ongoing turmoil over the future Centuries of oppression, and it also contains the Confessio of St. Patrick and it was given over into the hands of it's Keepers, the Mac Moyre / Meic Maor Family, and was to  be held by them until 1662 AD as they were to receive a parcel of land on condition that they would be responsible for its safe keeping and protection and it too can also still be viewed at the Trinity College in Dublin.

He mmade no further effort to discipline 104.Maurice / Muirgius who had previously entered the kingdom in the Midlands / Meath with ambitions of becoming the overlord of Leth Cuinn / Conn's Half, which would have then led onto the High Kingship of Tara. "For he who holds Tara holds Ireland."

105.Finsnechta Cetharderc the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada 22nd King of Leinster, died of a disease, and had been a son of 104.Kelly / Ceallach the previous 19th King of Leinster, whose father, 103.Dunchad had been the 15th King of Leinster who is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Dunchada Sept. His son, 106.Faelan was to become the father of 107.Bran the future 25th King of Leinster, who would carry on the Ui Dunchada Sept's male line and there was now further trouble also brewing among their kinsmen the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Sept who also wanted to regain overall control there in their territory in Southern Leinster.

808 - 809 AD *100.Aed Oirdnide the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 164th King of Ireland besieged the territory in Southern Leinster once again, but this time he was to be defeated on the banks of the River Liffey. The Heremonian Dal Fiatach aristocratic warrior male line would continue to survive in the Kingship through his 2 sons, especially 101.Aed, and also 101.Murray / Muireadach who would become the future 27th King.

100.Cyrell / Cairell became the Heremonian Dal Fiatach 25th King of Ulaid in the east of Ulster Province, who was a brother to 100.Eochy the previous 24th King of Ulaid, who was another of the 2 sons of 99.Fiachnae the previous 22nd King of Ulaid, while another brother 100.Lynch / Loingsech was to be the Abbot of Armagh. Also his nephew 101.Diarmait was to be a leader of the reforming clerics, the Cele De / Culdees (Servants of God) who had founded the monastery of Castledermot / Dysert Diarmait in Co Kildare in Central Southern Leinster on land donated by the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Bairrche King, descended from 91.Daire Barrach, who had been one of the 9 sons of 90.Cahir / Cathair Mor the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian 109th King of Tara / Ireland).
