                                                                                                                                                                                 831 - 840 AD

831 AD 100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster took warriors from both the Munster Province and Southern Leinster in Mogha's Half / Leth Mogha, and besieged the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Septs in Brega in their territory in the south - east of Northern Leinster, reaching as far as Fennor / Finnabair near Slane, while raiding throughout the countryside as they went.

The Vikings now carried out an attack on the church at Maghera / Machaire (The Plain) in Co. Derry in the north - east of the Ulster Province, and the region around Annagassan in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster. and also began to settle in at Limerick in Co. Limerick in the south in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province on the eastern side of the River Shannon, in opposition to the Heberian Eoghanachta Septs there, where they also began to trade.

832 AD The Vikings now also raided the monastery at Clonmore / An Chluain Mhor (The Great Meadow) in Co. Carlow in Southern Leinster.

100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster was to besiege the territory of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Ui Fiachach Sept in their kingdom of Delbna Bethra in Midhe / Meath in the south - west of Northern Leinster three times, and burnt the sanctuary / Termon nearby at Clonmacnoise in Co. Offaly in the north - west of Southern Leinster, as both territories were in the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill territory of Leath Cuinn / Conn's Half.  *102.Conor / Conchobar the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 165th King of Ireland in retaliation devastated the Liffey Plain in Co. Dublin in the central - east of Southern Leinster in Mogha's Half.

833 AD *102.Conor / Conchobar the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 165th King of Ireland, died peacefully, and had been one of the 2 sons of 101.Donough / Donnchad Midi the previous Gaelic Milesian 163rd King of Ireland, descended from 94.Colman Mor, the direct male line ancestor of the Clann Cholmain Sept.

105.Kelly / Ceallach the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muireadhaigh 24th King of Leinster defeated the monastic community at Kildare in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster and many of them were killed during the battle.

100.Coffey / Cobthach who was the Heberian Eoghanacht Locha Lein King, died this year, who was one of the 2 sons of 99.Muldoon / Maele Duin the previous Chaisil 20a King of Cashel / Munster, and he was to be the last one from his particular Locha Lein male line, but his brother, 100.Congal would carry their male line forward becoming the father of 102.Olchobar the future 24th King of Cashel / Munster.

100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Munster besieged the territory of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Ui Fiachach Sept, in their kingdom of Delbna Bethra again, in the south - west of Meath / Midhe in Northern Leinster, where he killed most of the monastic community, and burnt everything there, except the church and he then besieged the Durrow monastery nearby in Co. Offaly, in the mid - west of Southern Leinster once again, which was also in the territory of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill. It was a rival to Clonmacnoise for the favour of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain Sept, as it had aided a previous Ui Niaill King of Ireland against the Munster Province in 766 AD. The hostility that 100.Felim mac Crimthainn had towards Clonmacnoise, just because it was situated in the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill territory in Leath Cuinn / Conn's Half was unrelenting. The kingdom of Delbna Bethra / Fortuath, which was also subject to the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Septs had its own King who was subject to Clonmacnoise, also had possession of the monastery founded by St. Manchan at  Lemanaghan / Liath Manchain (St. Manachan's Grey Place). This was originally a Munster Province foundation that may have also controlled the Gallen / Mainistir Ghailinne monastery in Co. Offaly in the north - west of Southern Leinster, which had been founded by St. Michonoge in 492 AD. It was patronised by the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Maine Kings, the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Kings of Connacht and the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Kings of Meath, and had subject churches on both sides of the River Shannon and also on Loch Ree, who all suffered now from the Viking raids as well, as from the raids carried out by the unrelenting 100.Felim mac Crimthainn.

Eogan Mainistrech the Abbot of Armagh had died and was now succeeded by Diarmait, the son of Tiernan / Tigernan.

104.Diarmait the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 33rd King of Connacht, died, who was one of the 3 sons of 103.Tomaltach, who all were to be Kings of Connacht, who was a son of 102.Murgal, one of the 4 sons of 101.Indrechtach the previous 21st King of Connacht, one of the 2 sons of 100.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan the 18th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Muireadhaigh/ Sil Murray Sept in the Connacht Province. This was to be the end also of his particular Siol Muireadhaigh male line to the Kingship.

105.Cathal became the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh / Sil Murray 34th King of Connacht, who was a son of 101.Maurice / Muirgius the previous 31st King of Connacht, one of the 3 sons of 103.Tomaltach, descended from 95.Reilly / Raghallach the 12th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Sept.

833 - 846 AD  *101.Niall Caille the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 23rd King of Ailech who had his territory in the north of the Ulster Province was to be the Gaelic Milesian  166th King of Ireland, who was a son of *100.Aed Oirdnide the previous Gaelic Milesian 164th King of Ireland, descended from 91.Eogan the 1st King of Ailech one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages who had been the Gaelic Milesian 126th King of Tara / Ireland.

834 AD 105.Kelly / Ceallach the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muireadhaigh 24th King of Leinster, died, who was one of the 2 sons of 104.Bran Ardchenn the previous 21st King of Leinster, the son of 103.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan the 18th King of Leinster, who is the direct male line ancestor of the Cu Corb Ui Muireadhaigh Sept and although his son, 106.Lorcan would become the 27th King of Leinster his Ui Muireadhaigh male line was to be carried forward through his other son, 106.Murray / Muireadach who was to be the father of 106.Toole / Tuathal aka 106.Maele Brigte the future 28th King of Leinster.

*101.Niall Caille the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 166st King of Ireland went to Southern Leinster were he installed 107.Bran as the new Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada 25th King of Leinster, who was a son of 106.Faelan, the son of 105.Finsnechta Cetharderc the previous Cu Corb 22nd King of Leinster, a son of 104.Kelly / Ceallach the 19th King of Leinster, who was the son of 103.Dunchad who had been the 15th King of Leinster and the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Dunchada Sept.

835 AD Forindan who was now the Abbot of Armagh in the Ulster Province as he had had ousted Diarmait, the son of Tiernan / Tigernan, from his position, but undaunted Diarmait was to continue to contest the position for the next 17 years with the dispute coming shortly after the inauguration of *101.Niall Caille as the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill 166th King of Ireland who had already asserted his overall authority in the Leinster Province. *101.Niall Caille also had to quell the opposition of his kinsmen the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill, and to this end he ravaged Meath in Northern Leinster as far as Tech Mael Chonoe, which was another monastery in the territory of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Ui Fiachach Sept in their kingdom of Delbna Bethra. It was during this campaign that the Septs of Munster Province were to kill Fergus mac Bodbchada one of his sub - Kings from Carraic Brachaide who had his territory in Inishowen in Co. Derry in the north - east of Ulster.

100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Munster by now also had ambitions of becoming the High King of Tara himself, and was politically selective as to who stood in his way, and he was also now in a favourable position to bargain with those who were in control of appointing the position of Abbot of Armagh as it had become very important to the overall Kingship of Ireland and he decided to take a hand in the dispute and put Diarmait back into the position of Abbot at Armagh in the Ulster Province, as he was sure he would then be able to count on his support if he made a bid for the High Kingship of Ireland in the future.

100.Indrechtach from the Heremonian Dal Fiatach Leth Cathail Sept. died this year, who had their territory in the east of the Ulster Province, who was a son of 99.Tomaltach, a son of 98.Cathal the direct male line ancestor of the Leth Cathail Sept, who was a son of 97.Murray / Muireadach, the son of 96.Angus / Oengus who was one of the 2 sons of 95.Mael Cobo the previous 13th King of Ulaid, descended from 90.Forgg mac Dallain.

Olaf - the White the Viking King began to settle in at Dublin / Dubh Linn (The Dark Pool) originally also named for Dubh the wife of Enna, the son of Nois, with his Viking warriors in the Co. Dublin region also previously known in Irish as Baile Atha Cliath (The Place of the Hurdle of the Ford) which was territory actually situated below on the eastern side of Southern Leinster on the River Liffey.

The Norwegians (Norsemen) Vikings were not only settling into Ireland, but also into the Faroe Islands, Scotland, Greenland, and Stone Land (Labrador) and they also attacked the Tuamgraney monastery in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province once again this year.

Godfrey, the son of Fergus, from the Heremonian Dal Cuinn 3 Colla Sept was now a Prince / Tanaiste of their kingdom of Orghialla / Airghialla (Oriel) in Southern Ulster.

836 AD The Vikings made their first inland attacks directly against the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Septs in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster.

Forindan and Diarmait the two rival candidates for the position of Abbot of Armagh (the main religious seat in Ireland situated in the Ulster Province) went on a circuit, with Forindan going to Southern Leinster, and Diarmait to the Connacht Province, so 100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster then laid siege to Kildare in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster where he captured Forindan who was visiting there and held him prisoner and also seized the Cork Abbey in Co. Cork in Southern Munster taking the Abbot of Cork to the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province were he subsequently died. As 99.Dunlaing mac Cathussaig had earlier been the Abbot of Cork, 100.Felim mac Crimthann took it upon himself to assume the position also himself, while in the meanwhile Diarmait who was 100.Felim's preferred candidate carried with him the Crozier of Jesus / Bachall Isa and the Bell of St. Patrick and proved himself to be successful in Connacht

837 AD Turgesius the Viking King now arrived onto the coast of Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster with his Northmen (Ostmen) on 65 ships, while he also had many of his other ships situated up on Loch Neagh at Carlingford / Cuan Loch in the north - east of the Ulster Province with intentions of completely taking over Ireland and also had others on the River Shannon and the River Boyne, and began setting up a permanent Viking settlement, and as each ship contained one to two mounted horsemen they also began raiding inland killing those they encountered along the way from the individual Irish Septs andalso  carried off their women.

Despite all of this incessant Viking activity going on, 100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster continued to concentrate on ravaging the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Maine Sept in the south - east of the Connacht Province, but on this occassion he was to be defeated by 105.Cathal the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 34th King of Connacht whose territory was further to the north in Connacht also at Mag nAi, which may have been a retaliation for the previous killing of the Munster Province Vice - Abbot of Clonmacnoise in Co. Offaly in the mid - west of Southern Leinster and the previous attack on the Cork Abbey by the monks of Clonfert Abbey in Co. Galway in the south - west of Connacht, as it was originally a Munster church of St. Brendan and the Cuimine Fota.

838 AD 100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster now decided to seize the Clonfert Abbey 2 miles west of the River Shannon in Co. Galway in the south - west of the Connacht Province for himself, and he once again assumed the position also of Abbot of Clonfert and then had a meeting with *101.Niall Caille the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 166th King of Ireland at Cloncurry / Cluain Conaire (Conaire's Meadow) in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster, just inside the border, where he submitted to him and *101.Niall Caille then in reality became the overall High King of Ireland on that day. 100.Felim mac Crimthainn still did not lay siege to the Vikings, and in fact used them himself if the need arose while raiding the Meath region into the territory of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill were he also took hostages from 105.Cathal the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 34th King of Connacht.

107.Bran the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada 25th King of Leinster also came up against 100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster in Southern Leinster, as the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Tuatha / Family region was to be further weakened by the Viking settlement that was now occurring nearby in the Dublin region. 107.Bran the 25th King of Leinster, died, who was the son of 106.Faelan, the son of 105.Finsnechta Cetharderc the previous Heremonian Cu Corb 22nd King of Leinster and of his 2 sons, 108.Murray / Muireadach would become the future 33rd King of Leinster, while his other son, 108.Rourke / Ruarc was to succeed his father as the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada 26th King of Leinster.

The Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Conaire Dal Riada Scottii in the Scottish Highlands were now under the leadership of 95.Ailpin, who was descended from 88.Gabhran, and this year they finally rebelled against the Scythian Gaelic Picts, but both were then attacked by the Vikings, and 95.Ailpin was  among those who were killed and the Scythian Gaelic Picts then took on the Viking Norsemen on their own and they too were defeated and their leader, Eogan was also killed. Eventually 96.Kenneth / Cinaed mac Ailpine, the son of 95.Ailpin, was able to combine the Scythian Gaelic Milesians and the Scythian Gaelic Picts becoming the direct male line ancestor of the future Highland Kings of Scotland who continued to operate under the Celtic Gaelic Clann system. Until Malcolm 111 Ceann Mor married St. Margaret the Saxon Princess, all of the land in the Scottish Highlands was still owned by the Tuath / Family region, but from her time on under the introduced of her Saxon - Norman influence the territorial system of the Septs was changed, and the land then belonged to the Kings of Scotland instead, who also then moved on down to the Lowlands, which was then to be similar to the Anglo - Norman system in England.  It was also later introduced in Ireland by the English after the Anglo - Norman Invasion. and it destroyed the whole Family orientated system of the Celtic Septs.

839 AD Diarmait was once again installed as the Abbot of Armagh in the north - east of the Ulster Province.

104.Murrough / Murchad became the new Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Siol Cathail 35th King of Connacht, who was a son of 103.Aed, whose father had been 102.Fogartach, one of the 4 sons of 101.Cathal the previous 23rd King of Connacht who is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Cathail Sept, one of the 2 sons of 100.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan the 18th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray Sept), a son of 99.Fergus / Muirgius, one of the 3 sons of 98.Reilly / Raghallach the 12th King of Connacht and direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai.

There were now large Viking fleets in the inland lakes, including Loch Neagh in the east of the Ulster Province who were carrying out more raids against the individual Irish Septs further in to the hinterland.

840 AD The Vikings wintered on the lakes and began to set up permanent settlements known as Long Phorts (defensive areas) from now on along the east - coast especially in Dublin / Dubh Linn in Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster, which was a monastic settlement on the River Poddle that is now situated underground near the mouth of the River Liffey and they were to expand westward and northward towards the river Liffey up to the end of the 9th Century AD. There were also permanent Norse towns by now in Limerick / Allymsuck in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province and Waterford in the south - east of Munster, Wexford / Veiksfjord and Wicklow / Vickingsalo in the south - east of Southern Leinster and they were also to have forts on Loch Neagh and Annagassan on the site of the monastery founded there by St. Colman were the River Dee and the River Clyde meet in Co. Louth, in the north - east of Northern Leinster. From these settlements they were then able to carry out their raids further inland plundering the larger monasteries, always after the gold and silver.

100.Felim mac Crimthainn the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 23rd King of Cashel / Munster continued to ravage the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill territories in Meath, including Brega in the south - east of Northern Leinster, and stayed over there at Tara publicly displaying his pretensions to the High Kingship of Ireland, and then returned and also devastated the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Ui Fiachrach territory in Delbna Bethra once again in the south - west of Northern Leinster where most of the lands were now under the control of the Fir Chell (The Men of the churches) from the great monasteries such as Durrow / Dairmha (Oak Plains) in Co. Offaly - Munster Province northern border right up to Tara in Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster once again, even going as far as seizing *101.Niall Caille's the Gaelic Milesian 166th King of Ireland's Queen, 102.Gormlaith, the daughter of *101.Donough / Donnchad the previous Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 163rd King of Ireland.

104.Murrough / Murchad the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Siol Cathail 35th King of Connacht, died this year, who had been a son of 103.Aed, whose father was 102.Fogartach, a son of 101.Cathal the 23rd King of Connacht and 103.Aed himself had been a brother to 103.Mael Cothaid the previous 32nd King of Connacht and this also saw the end of his particular Siol Cathail male line, descending from 98.Reilly / Raghallach the 12th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Septs.
