     107.Ailill the Heemonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muireadhaigh 31st King of Leinster, died, whose father was 106.Dunlaing the previous 30th King of Leinster, and his Ui Muireadhaigh male line was to be carried forward by his son, 108.Augaire who was to become the future 35th King of Leinster.

872 AD 99.Kennelly / Cenn Faelad the Heberian Eoghanacht Airthir Chliach 27th King of Cashel / Munster, died, who was a son of 98.Murrough / Murchad, one of the 2 sons of 97.Mugthigern, descended from 93.Criffan / Crimthann the direct male line ancestor of the Airthir Chliach Sept who was a son of 92.Eochy / Eochaidh the 4th Chaisil King of Cashel / Munster descended from 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster.

       102.Donough / Dunchad became the new Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 28th King of Cashel / Munster, who was a son of 101.Dub Da Bairenn, a son of 100.Crundmael, one of the 3 sons of 99.Dongal / Dungalach, a son of 98.Faelgus, one of the 2 sons of 97.Nad Froich, a son of 96.Colgan / Colgu the previous 15th King of Munster and 106.Carroll / Cerball the Heremonian UI Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny who had his territory in the south - west of Southern Leinster in Mogha's Half, now allied with 102.Donough the 28th King of Cashel / Munster and together they besieged the Connacht Province.

His son, 105.Murray / Muireadach, who was to die in 912 AD, was to become the eventual Dux of the Clann Cathail, which was to then end their aristocratic Siol Cathail male line altogether to the Kingship descending from 98.Reilly / Raghallach mac Uatach the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai who had been the 12th King of Connacht.

873 AD The Irish Septs were now able, to once again, drive the Vikings out of their settlement on the coast at Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster.

      The monastery at Nendrum in Co. Down in the south - east of the Ulster Province was attacked again by the Vikings, and the Abbot there was killed, which led to the monastery there also being abandoned as their books were destroyed by drowning, as they had no value at all to the Vikings who just took all of the metalwork as loot.

       104.Coirpre mac Diarmait / Cairpre mac Diarmata the Heremonian Cu Corb 42nd Ui Cheinnselaig King, who was a brother to 104.Teague / Tadhg mac Diarmata, who had been his predecessor, was to be killed in a similar manner to his brother. Their father, 103.Diarmait, was a son of 102.Rudgal, a son of 101.Aed, whose father had been 100.Onchu, one of the 2 sons of 99.Faelan the previous 9th Ui Cheinnselaig King, In turn his father had been 98.Silan, one of the 2 sons of 97.Eoghan Caech the 7th Ui Cheinnselaig King, the son of 96.Nath I the 4th Ui Cheinnselaig King, the son of 95.Criffan / Crimthann who had been the 1st Ui Cheinnselaig King and the Cu Corb 3rd King of Leinster, who had been a son of 94.Enda / Enna Cennsalach the Cu Corb 2nd King of Leinster who is the direct male line ancestor of all the Ui Cheinnselaig Septs. 104.Cairpre’s son, his grandson, and great - grandson, were to also be Ui Cheinnselaig Kings, and the Ui Cheinnselaig Sept would grow stronger once again in the next Century, culminating in a long awaited return of the Kingships of Leinster for their Sept and the eventual appearance of 113.Diarmait mac Murrough Na Gall. 

876 AD 102.Aedh Findliath - of the White Hair who had been the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 168th High King of Ireland for 16 years, died on 20th November this year, at Druim Inesclainn in the territory of the Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill Sept. (He had been a son of *101.Niall Caille the previous Gaelic Milesian 166th King of Ireland, and his male line would evolve into the O Nialls / O Neills and Mac Loughlins in the Ulster Province who would become the future Kings of Ireland.

    106.Carroll / Cerball the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny who had his territory in the south - west of Southern Leinster now allied with the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Deisi Sept who had their territory in Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province in Mogha's Half and they defeated the Heberian Septs of Munster.

877 - 914 AD *104.Flann Sinna the 29th Clann Cholmain King was the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill 169th King of Ireland, who was a son of *103.Malachy 1st / Mael Sechnaill the previous Gaelic Milesian 167nd High King of Ireland.

    The Vikings began returning to Ireland in droves, setting up their long forts / fortresses so that they could raid the monasteries and the cattle farms along the River Shannon, with its entrance through the estuary between Co. Limerick and Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province.   

879 AD The Vikings attacked Armagh again in the south - east of the Ulster Province from out of their settlement at Carlingford in Ulster.       

880 AD 106.Carroll / Cerball the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny who had his territory in the south - west of Southern Leinster was now so strong that he was able to capture Dublin in the north - east of Southern  Leinster from the Vikings.

     Perrone (Perronna Scottorum), a noted Irish Centre founded by St. Fursa who had died in 650 A.D was destroyed this year by the Vikings.
