      104.Niall the Heremonian Dal Fiatach 43rd King of Ulaid, who had his territory in the east of the Ulster Province, died, who was one of the 3 sons of 103.Aed the previous 37th King of Ulaid, which was to see the end of his particular Heremonian Dal Fiatach aristocratic warrior male line to the Kingship altogether, and a change of dynasty was now to occur there once again and 104.Aed the Gaelic Milesian Irian 37th Dal nAraidi  King became the new Irian 44th King of Ulaid, in the north - east of the Ulster Province, who was a son of 103.Lynch / Loingsech the previous 39th King of Ulaid, descended from 95.Fiachnae Lurgan the Irian 9th King of Ulaid, descended from *91.Coelub who had been the Gaelic Milesian 123rd King of Ireland one of the 2 sons of 90.Crond Ba Drui.

972 AD The Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla Sept in the kingdom of Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster, defeated the re - emerging Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Sept in a conflict there again over who had the sovereignty in that region.

    104.Aed the Gaelic Milesian Irian Dal nAraidi 44th King of Ulaid, died, who was the son of 103.Lynch / Loingsech the previous 39th King of Ulaid, and he would be the last one of the aristocratic warrior  Gaelic Milesian Irian Dal nAraidi Sept to be a King of Ulaid, and a permanent change of dynasty was now to occur there as the Dal nAraidi Septs who had their territory in the north - east of the Ulster Province were also to be further weakened at this time, by the increasing expansion of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Thuirtri Sept, who had previously had their territory around Loch Neagh and who were also under pressure. Meanwhile, the Heremonian Dal Fiatach Septs who had their territory in Co. Down had also expanded their territory further north into the south of the territory of the Dal nAraidi Septs, and this all meant that the Kingship of Ulaid was from now on to be the exclusive right of the Heremonian Dal Fiatach Septs descended from 90.Forgg mac Dallain.

973 AD 105.Mahon the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough 39th King of Cashel / Munster was by now in a much stronger position as to his overall authority in the east and the west of the Munster Province, and the Abbot of Armagh made a visit to Munster Province where he personally clashed with the Abbot of Emly / Imleach (The Lake Border) in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of Munster, and 105.Mahon was able to settle the dispute in favour of the Abbot of Armagh.

      109.Conor / Conchobar O Connor, the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh / Sil Murray Ui Conchobair 44th King of Connacht, died, this year, who had been a son of 108.Teague / Tadhg O Connor the previous 42nd King of Connacht, the son of 107.Cathal mac Connor the 41st King of Connacht and 109.Cono O Connor's son, 110.Cathal O Connor would eventually become the 46th King of Connacht.

      Another, 108.Cathal O Connor now became the new Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai  Siol Muireadhaigh / Sil Murray 45th King of Connacht, who was a son of 107.Teague / Tadhg O Connor  the previous 40th King of Connacht, who was also one of the 4 sons of 106.Conor / Conchobar the previous 38th King of Connacht who is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Conchobhair Sept in the Connacht Province, but he too was to die this year, which brought a quick end to his particular Ui Conchobair male line to the Kingships.

    110.Cathal O Connor now became the new Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Ui Conchobair 46th King of Connacht, who was another son of 109.Conor / Conchobar O Connor the previous 44th King of Connacht, the son of 108.Teague / Tadhg O Connor who had been the 42nd King of Connacht. 

 

974 AD Donough / Donnchad, died this year, who was the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster,  the son of Kelly / Ceallach,

       107.Donnell / Domhnall the Heremonian Cu Corb 53rd Ui Cheinnselaig King, died this year, who was a son of 106.Kelly / Ceallach the previous 50th Ui Cheinnselaig KIng whose father had been 105.Kenneth / Cinaed who had been the 48th Ui Cheinnselaig KIng and his son,108.Diarmait would become the father of 109.Donough / Donnchad Mael na mBo, who was to then be the father of 110.Donnell / Domhnall Remar and 110.Diarmait mac Mael na mBo - of the Many Cattle who would become the 51st King of Leinster, and the unofficial 177th King of Ireland - with opposition who would be the one to actually revive the Ui Cheinnselaig aristocratic warrior male line to the Leinster Kingship after 334 years, all the way  back to 94.Enda / Enna Cennsalach who had been the 2nd King of Leinster (Ui Cheinnselaig).

 

975 AD Kenneth O Hartigan  / Cinaith Ua hArtagain the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niall Siol nAedo Slaine whowas  the chief poet of Leth Cuinn and Ireland, died and Uard mac Coise took up the position.

 

975 - 976 AD. The Viking settlement in Limerick, in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province, had once again came under the control of Ivor the Danish Viking King, who had been set up on the islands and he had also returned to the mainland, and was naturally hostile to the Heberian Dal gCais Septs for his previous defeats and his allies, 107.Donovan from the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidhgheinte Cenel Cairbre Sept, who was married to Ivor's daughter, and 109.Molloy / Maelmuad the Heberian Ui Echach Muman Cenel nAeda Cenel mBecce Tanaiste / heir apparent who was disgruntled over losing the Kingship of Munster to the Dal gCais Sept was by now desperate to replace 105.Mahon the 39th King of Cashell / Munster, 105.Mahon had been the first from the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough Sept, descended from 85.Cormac Cass to become a Heberian King of Cashel / Munster and 109.Molloy decided to carry out treachery and to this end he had the Bishop of Cork and the clergy arrange a meeting between these 3 Milesian Gaelic leaders to settle their dispute at 107.Donovan's residence in Co. Kerry. 105.Mahon arrived with a contingent of only 12 of his nobles, while 109.Molloy and 107.Donovan arrived with many more of their followers, and 105.Mahon was seized there in 107.O Donovan's territory and taken to Co. Cork where he was killed at what is now Leacht Mahon near Macroom by Ivor the Viking King of Limerick and his 2 Heberian Eoghanacht allies. The 2 Eoghanacht Chiefs, were then cursed by the clergy of the Munster Province for their involvement in this foul deed and the Viking Danes were then invited back into the Munster Province by 107.Donovan and 109.Molloy, and they began to overrun the Province once more.

     105.Mahon was to become the direct male line ancestor of many of the O Bolands of Co. Clare, O Caseys, O Spillane / O Splaine / O Spellane, the Ui hAmhrachain Sept and the Ui Sidhachachain Septs, the Mac Inerneys the Kings of Corca Muirceadha / Conaill Uachtrach, the Ui Conghalaigh Sept, and the O Twomeys of Co. Cork and Co. Kerry in Southern Munster and the O Toomeys of Co. Limerick.      

109.Molloy / Mael Muad, became the new Eoghanacht Raithlind 40th King of Cashel / Munster, whose male line had produced only one King of Munster 380 years previously, 14 generations ago in 95.Felim / Feidlimid who had been the 8a King of Cashel / Munster, who had died in 593 AD. 109.Molloy was a son of 108.Bran, a son of 107.Cian, a son of 106.Spelan, a son 105.Cathnia, a son of 104.Conor / Conchobar, a son of 103.Cu Chongelt, a son of 102.Ailill Broga, a son of 101.Connath, a son of 100.Artgal, a son of 99.Fer De Lethe, a son of 98.Becc (Cenel mBecce). He in turn was a son of 97.Fergus, a son of 96.Kennelly / Cenn Faelad, the son of 95.Felim / Fedelmid who had been the 8a King of Cashel / Munster, a son of 94.Tierney / Tigernach, the son of 93.Aed Ualgarb (Cenel nAeda), who had been one of the 2 sons of 92.Criffan / Crimthann, a son of 91.Eochy / Echu (Ui Ecach Muman), a son of 90.mac Cass (Desmuma), one of the 7 sons of 89.Conal Corc the 1st Eoghanacht Chaisil King of Cashel / Munster), who had originally set up on the Rock of Cashel, descended from 85.Eoghan Mor (Eoghanachta) and 84.Ailill Oluimm the 1st King of Munster. 109.Molloy was to give 107.Donovan, for his part in the whole sordid affair, 9  townlands in Carbery in the south of Co. Cork,

       With the death of 105.Mahon, his younger brother, *105.Brian (Ui mBriain) became the Dalcassian King of Northern Munster / Thomond  who had his fortress at Killaloe still in their Ui Bloid Ui Turlough territory in  Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province, who would also eventually become the 41st King of Cashell / Munster and the 175th High King of Ireland. He was to marry 4 times: Firstly to Mor, a daughter of Flann O Hyne the Prince of the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Fiachrach Aidhne Sept, who had their territory in Co. Galway in the south of the Connacht Province adjacent to Co. Clare, who bore him 3 sons, including 106.Murrough / Murchadh, who was to be killed in 1014 AD in the Battle of Clontarf against the Vikings, along with his own son, 107,Turlough. Secondly he married Eachraidh, a daughter of Ailill / Oilioll Fionn, who produced 2 sons, 106.Teague / Tadhg, whose Ui mBriain male line would persist to the end, and 106.Donnell who was also killed later on by the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Siol Muireadhaigh Ui Conchobair Sept in a conflict over sovereignty. Thirdly he married 110.Gormflaith / Kormloda the sister of 110.Mael Morda, who was by then to be the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Faelain 45th King of Leinster. She had previously been the wife of Aulaf / Olaf the late Danish Christian Viking King of Dublin and had produced a son, Sitric, who had succeeded his father there. She would then marry *107.Malachy 11 / Mael Sechlainn the Heremonian Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niall Clann Cholmain 106th King of Tara / Ireland to unify the Septs in the whole of the Leinster Province, but he could not put up with her devious ways. *105.Brian was to then marry her to unify Mogha's Half (Southern Leinster and the Munster Province) and she was to produce *106.Donough, who was to become the 42nd King of Cashel / Munster, and 106.Sadbh, a daughter who was to marry 110.Cian, the son of 109.Molloy / Mael Muad the previous Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Raithlind40th King of Cashel / Munster and produce 111.Mahon the direct male line ancestor of all of the O Mahony Septs. Eventually *105.Brian would also discard her due to her devious ways and she would turn against him and bring about the devastating Battle of Clontarf against the Vikings and their Southern Leinster allies in which 7,000 of them would be killed.

      In the recorded History of the Vikings, *105.Brian Boru - of the Tributes, was to be greatly respected, as it was recorded that he had great patience, tempered with mercy and justice, and forgave his enemies 3 times, and he was remembered by them as stout, able, valiant, fierce, magnificent, hospitable, munificent, strong, lively and friendly. 

976 AD 108.Donough mac Kelly /  / Donnchad mac Cellaig  the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory, died this year, who was a son of 107.Kelly / Ceallach a previous King of Ossory, and 109.Gilla Patraic mac Donough 1st / Gilla Patrick mac Donnchad became the new King of Ossory until 996 AD, who was a son of 108.Donough / Donnchad a previous King of Ossory and he was to become the original progenitor of the Mac GiollaPadraighs of Ossory who were eventually to Normanize their name to Fitz Patrick.

977 AD *105.Brian (Ui mBriain) who was now the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough King of Northern  Munster / Thomond, finally killed Ivor the Danish Viking King of Limerick in battle on Coney Island in Limerick, and then cleared out all of his followers systematically, after conducting a rapid series off battles and the Heberian Eoghanacht leaders 109.Molloy / Mael Muad and Donovan panicked, and sent for assistance also from Harold the Viking Dane Chieftain, who now styled himself the Viking King of Munster. Although he put together a large force to take on *105.Brian, during the ferocious battle that followed they were all killed by the Heberian Dal gCais warriors under the leadership of *105.Brian's teenage son, 106.Murrogh / Murchadh and *105.Brian then controlled the whole of the Munster Province from his palace at Kincora in Co. Clare in the north - west of Northern Munster / Thomond.  

       A Mint was established in Dublin his year.

     106.Murtough / Muirchertach O Niall the joint heir - apparent / Tanaiste of Ireland, and 106.Congalach, two of the sons of *105.Donnell Ard Macha O Niall who was now the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 34th / 37th King of Aileach and Gaelic Milesian 173rd King of Ireland, were killed in battle this year against Anlaimh the Viking King of Dublin, who was a son of Sitric. 106.Murtough O Niall was to become the father of 107.Flaherty / Flaithbertach an Trostain - of the Pilgrim's Staff O Niall who was also born this year who would himself become the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 40th King of Aileach from 1004 AD until 1030 AD, when he was to go on a pilgrimage to Rome, and then again the 42nd King of Aileach from 1033 AD - 1036 AD after returning and the death of his own son, 105.Aedh Athlaman - the Handy O Niall who was to be killed  in 1033 AD. 107.Flaherty an Trostain of the Pilgrim's Staff's male line would become the continuing direct aristocratic warrior male line for all of the O Nialls / O Neills in the Ulster Province who are descended initially from his ancestor, *103.Niall Glun Dubh - of the Black Knee who had been the previous Gaelic Milesian 170th King of Ireland who had previously been killed in battle against the Vikings of Dublin in 919 AD.

    Gilla Coluim O Cannon / Ua Canannain from the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill Sept in Tyrconnell / Tir Conaill in the north - west of the Ulster Province had also been slain this year by *105.Donnell Ard Macha O Niaill the Gaeic Milesian 174th King of Ireland.  

 

978 AD *105.Brian became the Heberian Dalcassian Ui Bloid Ui Turlough 41st King of Cashel / Munster when he was inaugurated on the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province, and he then fortified the towns in Munster, and laid waste to the Viking settlements, and also drove them out of the Shannon Islands, and from the south - west of Co. Clare in the north - west of Munster, and began to further encourage the use of Irish surnames. (O - descended directly from.) (Mac - descended from a son of.)

      *107.Malachy 11 / Mael Sechlainn, the son of *106.Donnell / Domhnall the previous "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 37th King of Meath, who was now the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Clann Cholmain 40th King of Meath won the Battle of Tara over the Viking Danes of Dublin and the Islands after a siege over 3 days and there was great slaughter of the Vikings, including the sons of Olaf / Auluf / Amlaff Cuaran who was now the Viking Danish Christian King of Dublin, and among those slain were Randall / Raghnall the heir to the sovereignty of the Danes, and Conanhail, the son of Gilla Arri the orator of Dublin with 2,000 prisoners liberated there including the King of Leinster.

      In the Highlands of Scotland another of 105.Donnell Ard Macha - of Armagh O Niall's sons, 106.Aedh Anradhan was to spread the genetics of *103.Niall - of the Black Knee the previous Gaelic Milesian 170th King of Ireland also there, when he was to marry the heiress of Cowal and Knapdale,  in the 11th Century AD, who was herself already a Princess of the royal house of Argyll (The Land of the Gael) as 106.Aedh Anradhan in turn was to become the father of, 107.Niall, whose son was to be 108.Aedh - the Splendid, the father of 109.Dunsleve / Duinn Sleibhe in the 12th Century AD, whose son was to be 110.Ferchar the father of 111.Malcolm / Mael Columb (Devotee of 94.St. Columbcille) who was to become the father of 112.Sir Ladman Lamont, who then became the male line ancestor of the Lamonts and the Lyons of Glamis there in the Scottish Highlands. 109.Dunsleve's other son, 110.Sweeney / Suibhne, was to become the father of 111.Dugall, whose son, 112.Eoin, was to be the father of 113.Giollaesbuig in or around the year 1315 AD, whose son, 114.Ewen, became the male line ancestor of the Mac Ewens of Otter. 110.Sweeney was also to be the father of 111.Mael Muire (Devotee of Mary), (to be a very popular name among the Sweeneys in Ireland) His son, 112.Murrough / Moroch Mor -  the Greater mac Sweeney was to be the first of the Mac Sweeney galloglasses / mercenaries to return to Ireland, who would die in 1267 AD and become the direct male line ancestor in Ireland of the Mac Sweeney Chieftains in Co.         108.Aedh - the Splendid, was also to be the father of 109.Gillachrist (Devotee of Christ) in the 12th Century AD whose son, 110.Gillascop / Giollaesbuig (Devotee of the Bishop) would hold territory at Glassary in Scotland in 1240 AD, whose heiress was to become the ancestor of the Scymgeours of Dudhope and Glassary and the Mac Corquodales of Phantelane there. 109.Gillachrist's other son, 110.Gillapatrick (Devotee of Patrick) in and around 1238 AD was to be the father of 110.Lachlan Mor, who was to become the ancestor of the Mac Lachlans of Strathlachlan. 108. 979 - 1002 AD *107.Malachy 11 / Mael Sechnaill (Devotee of St. Sechnaill) the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 40th King of Meath was to become the Gaelic Milesian 174th High King of Ireland, when he would then be deposed by *105.Brian Boru - of the Tributes who would then become the Gaelic Milesian Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough 175th High King of Ireland until he was to be also killed in 1014 AD in the Battle of Clontarf against the Vikings and their Southern Leinster allies in Dublin. 107.Malachy 11 would then become the King of Ireland once again until his death in 1022 AD. *107.Malachy 11 was a son of 106.Donnell / Domhnall the previous "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 37th King of Meath who had died in 952 AD, the son of *105.Donough / Donnchad Donn the previous 32nd King of Meath and Gaelic Milesian 171st King of Ireland who had died in 942 AD. He in turn was the son of *104.Flann Sinna the 29th King of Meath and Gaelic Milesian 169th King of Ireland who had died in 914 AD, the son of *103.Malachy 1st / Mael Sechnaill the 26th King of Meath and Gaelic Milesian  167th High King of Ireland who had died in 860 AD.  During his reign, *107.Malachy 11 was able to defeat the nearby Dublin Vikings on many occasions, although they also had other Norse allies from the Hebrides Islands who were allied with them.

     Olaf / Aulaf Cuaran the Viking Danish Christian King of Dublin, who had married 110.Gormlaith / Kormloda the Leinster Princess, who was a sister to 110.Mael Morda the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Faelain 45th King of Leinster, now retired to the Holy Island / Iona of 94.St. Columbcille, and he was to die there and Olaf Cuaran and 110.Gormlaith were the parents of Sitric Silkbeard the half - Viking King of Dublin and for political reasons she would also later marry *107.Malachy 11 the Gaelic Milesian 169th King of Ireland, and even later still *105.Brian Boru the Gaelic Milesian Heberian Dal gCais  175th High King of Ireland).
