ANGINA PECTORIS: Symptoms: Similar to Angina with the Chest pain being spasmodic and a feeling of being strangled.

Cause: Failure of the Coronary Arteries to supply enough Oxygen to the Heart Muscle. Relaxation, Diet and Exercise are needed.

Treatment: Avoid sudden Physical Exertion and Emotional Stress. If an attack occurs dip a handkerchief in cold water and Vinegar and place on the Heart region and pour cold water over the left Arm. A Chilli capsule will alleviate symptoms. Herbs: Hawthorn is best, but Fennel and Thyme are also useful. Remedy: 5 gm Rue, 8grm Caraway Seed, 100 gm Valerian and a small Sprig of Wormwood in 2 Litres of boiling water. Dosage: Take 1 x Cupful every 2 hours.

ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS - Rigid Spine Inflammation:

Symptoms: A Disease of the Spine in which there is gradual loss of mobility in the Joints between the Vertebrae with Inflammation along the Spinal Column resulting in Back pain and stiffness as the Body tries to fuse the Vertebrae. Often starts in the Lower Back and the Chronic Inflammation can destroy the Cartilage between the Vertebrae if left untreated leading to lifelong Back disability. Chest expansion becomes difficult and there may be pain while breathing deeply, coughing or sneezing. Cause: It may be an Auto - Immune Disease similar to Rheumatoid Arthritis and usually occurs between the ages of 20 to 40 mainly in Males. The Immune System normally attacks invading Microbes, but sometimes gets confused and turns against the Body itself.

Herbs: Corn, Ginger, Pigweed, Pineapple and Vegetarian and a low Calorie diet. Corn: can be used as a powder to alleviate Dermatitis if a Cervical Collar is used. Vegetarian Low Calorie Diet: alleviates Inflammation and Pain of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Auto - Immune Diseases, assists to lose weight, which then takes the pressure off of Arthritic Joints. A Soup Bone or two could also be included in Vegetable Soups to obtain Collagen.

ANOREXIA NERVOSA: Symptoms: Mainly effects young girls 14 to 17 years, but older Women and some Men may be affected by the loss of weight carried to extremes and further emaciation follows with induced vomiting, Purgatives and excessive exercise. Cause: Often Depressed and Hysterical, Phobias or compulsive Disorders and a relapse may occur as the basic Psychological problem remains.

Treatment: Increase the food intake slowly and obtain Psychological assistance to define the underlying problem.

ANT BITE: Treatment: Take the Root of the common Bracken Fern and break it in half and rub the Juice on the Bite.

ANTHRAX: Symptoms: Affects the Skin producing a severe localized reaction and itching papule that becomes surrounded by vesicles filled with blood - stained fluid and the centre dies as the infection spreads and becomes black. Cause: commonly occurring in Cattle, Goats or Sheep that can also attack the Lungs causing Pneumonia and Blood poisoning. 

ANTIBIOTICS: Symptoms: When foreign / harmful substances enter the System the Body produces antibodies that are Proteins that will combine with the antigen / harmful material. Drugs have been developed to also assist the Body, but all Drugs have adverse effects, especially Penicillin based. Drugs such as Penicillin affects the Lining of the Intestines and causes Intestinal damage creating loss of appetite.

Treatment: Vitamin B12 injected at the same time will help restore and / or maintain the Bacteria in the Intestine and should be given with all anti - Biotics as they suppress the natural Flora in the Gut. Horses: Ivermectin: is a particular example, and the manure from Horses treated with this Drug is not taken up by the Soil organisms. Butazoldin / BTZ / Bute: Weakens the Blood Vessels, causing Haemorraging. Treatment: Vitamin C given at the same time will reverse this action, but is risky. Arnica replaces Bute and is now used by Vets instead. Cortico - Steroids: There are many side effects as they interfere with the Synthesis of Vitamin A and assimilation of Calcium and Magnesium and extra amounts of these Minerals are needed in the diet if used. Cortisone: Is naturally produced in Animals in their Adrenal Glands if they are not deficient in Vitamin C, B5 and B2. If administered artificially it interferes with that process. In Humans it can stop natural production for 2 years and prolonged use can lead to Cancer. Steroids: Makes Horses incapable of breeding and takes 3 - 4 years to overcome. Tetracyclines: Over large amounts can cause Renal failure, Bone Marrow damage and Anaemia and should be used sparingly.

ANTIBODIES: Agglutinin Antibodies: cause Bacteria or Viruses to clump together and render then ineffective. Lysin Antibodies: dissolve Bacteria directly. Opsonin Antibodies: cling to Antigens such as Bacteria and make them more appetizing to White Blood Cells / Phagocytes. In Auto Immune Disease the antibodies form against the Body's own Cells and damage the Body Tissue instead. This may be due to a Copper deficiency in the Body Systems.

ANXIETY: Symptoms: The Body is primed for  "Fight or Flight" with nowhere to go, the Heart is racing, Muscles are tense and the Chest is expanding.
