Morgan O Connell of Cahirciveen in Barony of Iveragh their son, married Catherine the daughter of John O Mullane of Whitechurch and produced Daniel, James of Tralee and Ellen who married D.O Connell of Tralee. Daniel O Connell - the Liberator who was born on the 16/08/1775 at Carhen near Caherciveen in Co. Kerry, who through untold perseverance became the first Catholic Irish Member of the English Parliament allowed for Centuries, and the Lord Mayor of Dublin, who married his cousin, Mary O Connell and produced Morgan, Maurice, John and Daniel. He was to die at Genoa on 15th May 1847 and his heart was sent to Rome and his body interred in the Prospect Cemetery at Glasnevin in Dublin where there is a round tower of Lucan granite 173 foot high with a granite 7 foot high cross. A massive statue was also erected in O Connell Street in Dublin.
