Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Cenel Main Sept / Family branch, The Mac Conroi residence was at Baile Mac Conroi / Bally Mac Conry / Kingston near Streamstown in the Connemara, as they were one of the Septs who had their territory in West Galway before the Joyces. Conroi was a 12th Century first Chief of Gnomore in Iar Connacht and O Heyney was the Chief of Gnobeg, After the 12th Century AD the O Flahertys took over the territory after being driven out of their own territory by the English on the east side of Loch Corrib. 1585 AD the Barony of Moycullen in Co. Galway was created by the English made up of the two territories Gnomore and Gnobeg. Hundreds of years later some of his descendants migrated westwards towards the coast into Bally Mac Conry. Florence Conroy who was born in Galway in 1560 AD was sent to the Netherlands as a youth and onto Spain were he became a Franciscan priest and in 1588 AD he was appointed the Franciscan Principal in Ireland and was with the Spanish Armada, and in 1602 AD he was Aodh Ruadh / Red Hugh O Donnell's chaplain at Simancas, who was poisoned by an English assassin and was interred in Valladolid Cathedral. In 1610 AD Florence Conroy was the Archbishop of Tuam, but was prevented by the English de Burghos / Burkes from taking up his position and in 1616 AD he assisted in founding the Irish College at Louvain, and later was to die at Madrid in November 1629 AD at 69 years of age, and was later interred in 1654 AD at the Louvain College under a marble monument. Jeffrey  de Constantine was an Anglo - Norman Baron who was subject to Hugh de Lacy during the Anglo - Norman Invasion under Henry 11 the English King in 1172 AD, who had his Estates at Kilbixey in Co. Westmeath in the south - west of Northern Leinster where he was the appointed English Baron of Kilbixey.
