Mac Crink. Highland Scottish origins in the south of Co. Down in the south - east of the Ulster Province.

 

O Criocan. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Tyrone in Central Ulster where they were Chiefs.

O Criodan. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Derry in the north - east of the Ulster Province.

 

Crisham. Used as a synonym for Clisham, which see, who were also in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht.

O Crolly or O Croly or O Crole or O Crowley or O Campion or Hardy or Lake or Locke or Poole / Irish / Ua Cruaidh - loca. Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Brian Ai Sept / Family branch who were kinsmen to the Mac Dermots. Peter O Neill Crowley who had been born in May 1832 AD at Bally Macoda in Co. Cork in Southern Munster became a Fenian as his uncle, Peter O Neill a priest had been flogged at Cork in 1798 AD. In 1867 AD he formed a resistance group under Captain Mac Clure and besieged Knockadoon an English coastguard station, and then hid out with his group in Kilclooney Woods in Co. Cork in Des Mhumhain / Desmond / Southern Munster, and were also in Co. Kerry in the south - west of Desmond. Ancestors: 36.Lewy / Lughaidh, 35.Ith (Ithians).

 

O Cronnelly - Irish / Ua Conaille. Gaelic Milesian Irian Sept / Family branch. When the Ulster Province was subdued by the English Galls with great slaughter and violence in 1177 AD one of their Irian Chiefs was given over as a hostage to De Courcy the Anglo Norman Baron and he was sent to England where he became the ancestor of the Cranleys. Later a member of this Family became a Carmelite friar who was appointed the Archbishop of Dublin by Richard 11 and he came back to Ireland in 1398 AD and was also appointed Lord Chancellor by Richard 11 and was then sent over to the Continent and died later on at Farrington in England on 25/5/1417 AD and was interred at Oxford.
