Eoghanachta of Munster - 19A.
AD. 99.Muldoon / Mael Duin mac Aedo the Heberian Eoghanacht Locha Lein 20a King of Cashel / Munster, died this year, who was a son of 98.Aed who had died in 734 AD, and of his two sons, 100.Congal was to be the father of 101.Kenneth / Cinaed whose son, 102.Olchobar would become the 24th King of Cashel Munster and Abbe Imlecha Ibair, while his other son, 100.Coffey / Cobthach would die in 833 AD as the Heberian Eoghanacht Locha Lein King who would leave no Munster Kings from his particular aristocratic warrior male line.
Some confusion now arises as to 99.Muldoon's / Mael "Duin's successor, as it was either 100.Olchobar who was the Rigmamna Muman descended more directly from 95.Cuan the Heberian Eoghanacht Aine Ui Enda 12th King of Cashel / Munster descended from 90.Nad Froich, one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc, or 101.Olchobur who was to be the Abbe Inse Cathaig descended from 89.Fiacha Fidgennid the aristocratic warrior ancestor of the Ui Fidgeinti Sept who was a son of 88.Maine Munchain the grandson of 86.Fiacha Mullethan, the son of 85.Eoghan Mor the aristocratic warrior ancestor of all of the Eoghanacht Septs for if he was from the Heberian Eoghancht Ui Fidgeinti Sept then he would be the only one they were ever to produce, and if he was from the Heberian Eoghanacht Aine Ui Enda Sept he would be their sixth King of Cashel / Munster.
AD. The Scandinavian Teutonic races were now to arrive in Ireland as the Norsemen / North Men, who as the Danair / Danish were of a dark complexion, and as the Loch Lannaigh / Norwegians of a fair complexion and they were to dominate the scene earlier on with the Swedish, all of whom were Scandinavian Vikings / Sea Roving Pirates / Vikingr who were to carry out raids all over Ireland and set up settlements for two hundred years along the coasts until *105.Brian Boru - of the Tributes who would then be the Gaelic Milesian Heberian Dal gCais / Dalcassian 175th High King of Ireland, was to bring to a halt to their overall onslaught. Early on the Vikings who were from Norway, began their raids when they first attacked Lindisfarne Abbey and overrun Northumbria in central England and on landing in the north - east of Eire / Ireland in the Ulster Province they were informed it was the Land of 37.Ir and this also fortified the eventual name given to Ireland. These same Scandinavian Teutonics would come again later on in 1169 AD as the Anglo - Normans who were also Scandinavian originally, who had previously settled in Normandy where they were subject to the French King and from there they were to move onto England under William - the Conqueror / Bastard and due to their savage culture they were to begin the take over of Irish territory as greedy grasping individuals, which would continue until 97 1/2 % of all the land in Ireland was theirs. They had no conception of the Tuatha / Family region structured culture of the Celtic peoples in Ireland, as to their way of life, and their individualistic avaricious manner was to be totally foreign to the outlook of the Celts.
AD. 100.Cu Chongelt the Heberian Eoghanacht Locha Lein King of Iar Muma / West Munster, died this year, who was a son of 99.Coirpre, a son of 98.Cu Dinaisc who had died in 717 AD, a son of 97.Foirchellach, a son of 96.Kennerly / Cenn Faelad, the son of 95.Aed Find, one of the 3 sons of 94.Criffan / Crimthann, the son of 93.Coffey / Cobhthach. the son of 92.Daui Iarlaithe who had been the 3a King of Cashel / Munster, the son of 91.Maithne / Maine who was a son of 90.Coirpre Luchra the aristocratic warrior ancestor of the Iar Mumu who was another of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster and the arisocratic warrior ancestor of alll of the Chaisil Septs.
/ 820 AD. There was to be a quick succession of 3 Heberian Eoghanacht Cashel / Munster Kings occurring during this period, which also did not bode well for the Heberian Eoghanachta Septs.
AD *101.Donough Midi mac Donnell the Heremonian Gaelic Milesian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 163rd King of Ireland made a final expedition to assist the Heremonian Leinstermen against the Munster Province after being invited there by his son - in - law 102.Bran Ardchenn mac Muiredaig the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muiredaig 21st King of Leinster who was married to *99.Donough's daughter 100.Eithne, and had succeeded to the Kingship of Leinster after his kinsmen, 102.Rory / Ruaidhri the previous Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Faelain 20th King of Leinster in 785 AD.
AD. The Scandinavian Teutonics who were made up of both Norwegian and Danish Vikings began their first recorded raids on Ireland by attacking the monasteries on Rathlin Island off of the coast of Co. Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province, Inishmurray off the coast of Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province and Inishboffin off of the coast of Co. Wexford in the south - east of Southern Leinster.
/ 7 AD. 101.Olchobur, died, who may have or not been the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti 20b King of Cashel / Munster descended from 88.Maine Munchain, and 87.Ailill Fland Bec, a grandson of 85.Eoghan Mor the aristocratic warrior ancestor of all of the Eoghanachta and this 101.Olchobur was also the Abbot of Scattery Island / Innse Cathaig, and one of the two sons of 100.Flann the Heberian Ui Fidgeinti King who had died in 762 /3 AD who was also a brother to 101.Scandlan who had previously died as the Heberian Ui Fidgeinti King in 786 AD.
AD. The Vikings now attacked Lambey Island in Dublin Bay on the north - east coast of Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster and the island of Iona / Iouna / Holy Island of St. Columbcille (The Dove of Peace) / St. Columba, situated between Ireland and Scotland also came under attack where the monks were to produce what was later known as the "Book of Kells" described as "The Most Beautiful Book In The World, that was eventually taken from Iona to Kells / Ceanannus Mor in Meath / Midhe in the south - east of Northern Leinster to save it from the continuing Viking onslaughts. Ireland at this time was made up of many Irish Celtic kingdoms and like all Celts they were not big on unity, but as the Viking attacks widened it expanded the construction of many round towers all over Ireland, some up to 100 feet high and their doorways were 10' to 26' or more up in the walls, with a ladder to allow the monks to hide away from them and the other raiders and these towers / cloic theachs also came to be used as belfries.
