                                                                                                                                                                 Eoghanachta of Munster - 27A.

853 AD. 103.Ailgenan the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 25th King of Munster, died this year, after reigning for only 2 years and further contraction was now occurring within the Heberian Eoghanachta Septs.

103.Mael Gualae became the new HeberEoghanacht Chaisil 26th King of Cashel / Munster who would rule for 6 years who was a brother to 103.Ailgenan the previous 25th King of Munster descended from 95.Failbhe Fland the 11thKing of Cashel / Munster, 91.Aengus mac Nad Froich the 3rd King of Cashel / Munster, 90.Nad Froich the 2nd King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc who had been the 1st King of Cashel / Munster and the aristocratic warrior ancestor of all of the Chaisil Septs.

The settlement of Dublin / Dubh Linn (Black Pool) was now finally set up by Olaf / Amhlaibh - the White, the Viking Norwegian King, who were from now on to basically hold onto for the next 300 years until their Teutonic Scandinavian kinsmen the Anglo - Normans were to invade Ireland in 1169 AD, and he not only proclaimed himself the King of Dublin, but also of the King of Waterford / Vaethrford / Vadrefjord, which another Viking settlement situated on the River Suir further down the coast in Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province.

854 / 8 AD. *103.Malachy 1st / Mael Sechnaill mac Maele Ruanaid the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 167th King of Ireland besieged and submitted the Heberian Septs in the Munster Province with a great force to lift his profile as the overall leader in Ireland and was to take hostages from his Heberian Gaelic kinsmen there in Munster intended to also send a message personally to 106.Carroll / Cearbhall the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory also there in Mogha's Half in his territory situated on the border of Southern Leinster and Munster in Co. Kilkenny who then also eventually submitted. This action also prevented the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Septs there in Southern Leinster from also gaining power in Mogha's Half with the prior submission of Munster. (Ossory was a separate Heremonian kingdom that was originally based on the initial territory held there by the Fir Bolg Septs that was jammed in between Munster and Leinster in Mogha's Half / Southern Ireland). With the ongoing continual Viking settlements and their disruptions to the Irish Brehon Law there was now an even more urgent need to combine the Irish forces under one outright superior Irish leader although this was not the Celtic way, as there was still great resistance to any real overall High King of Ireland, but despite this prevailing Celtic attitude the constant overall Viking threat was making it more and more viable and *103.Malachy 1st would also be the first to actually achieve this High King status in Ireland.

859 AD. 103. Mael Gualae the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 26th King of Cashel / Munster was forced to give over the territory in the kingdom of Ossory in Southern Leinster in Mogha's Half to *103.Malachy 1st the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 167th King of Ireland with the Abbot of Armagh also at the Assembly / Oenach who acknowledged *103.Malachy 1st there as their superior and 1st High King of Ireland.

             103. Mael Gualae the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 26th King of Cashel / Munster, died this year, who was one of the 2 sons of  102.Donngal, the son of 101.Tnuthgal the previous 22nd King of Cashel / Munster, and his son, 104.Dub Lachtna would become the future 29th King of Cashel / Munster.

99.Kennerly / Cenn Faelad Ua Mugthigirn became the Heberian Eoghanacht Airthir Chliach 27th King of Cashel / Munster, who was a son of 98.Murrough / Murchad, one of the 2 sons of 97.Mugthigern, a son of 96.Kelly / Cellach, the son of 95.Crundmael, the son of 94.Cormac Sriabderg, one of the 2 sons of 93.Criffan / Crimthann Airthir Chliach the original direct aristocratic warrior male line ancestor of the Eoghanacht Airthir Chliach Sept, one of the 2 sons of 92.Eochy / Eochaidh the 4th King of Cashel / Munster. The selection of the Heberian Eoghanacht Kings was becoming more and more desperate as he was to be the first from his male line for 8 generations descended from 91.Angus mac Nad Froich the Chaisil 3rd King of Cashel / Munster, the son of 90.Nad Froich the 2nd King of Cashel / Munster, who was one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster  the aristocratic warrior ancestor of all of the Chaisil Septs.

860 AD. The Vikings who were settled in at Waterford in Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province also now besieged the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla kingdom of Ossory to the west of there situated between Munster and Southern Leinster that was previously in Mogha's Half under the protection of the Munster Kings, but was now under the protection of *100.Malachy 1st the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 167th High King of Ireland.

864 AD. The Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Deisi Sept who had their territory now in the east of the Munster Province took it upon themselves to destroy the Norse Viking fort in Waterford, situated on the east - coast in Co. Waterford in the south - east of Munster.

868 AD. 106.Carroll / Cearbhall the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory, who was a son of 105.Dunghal the previous King of Ossory, due to the strong Viking unrest occurring in the east of Southern Leinster, decided it was now necessary to regain his own authority in that region and to this end he besieged the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Deisi Sept there.

870 - 914 AD. During this time for a period of 44 years there was to be some relief in Ireland from the Viking incursions as the  Vikings turned their activities towards Briton / England.

872 AD 99.Kennerly / Cenn Faelad Ua Mugthigirn the Heberian Eoghanacht Aithir Chliach 27th King of Munster, died this year, which also brought to an end any further direct aristocratic warrior male Kingship lines also from the Airthir Chliach Septs originally emanating through 93.Criffan / Crimthann Airthir Chliach, one of the 2 sons of 92.Eochy / Eochaidh the 4th King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 4 sons of 91.Oenghus mac Nad Froich the 3rd King of Cashel / Munster, 88. Nad Froich the 2nd King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel  Munster the aristocratic warrior ancestor of the Chaisil Septs.

102.Donough / Donnchad became the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 28th King of Cashel / Munster, who was one of the 2 sons of 101.Dub da Bairenn, a son of 100.Crundmael, one of the 3 sons of 99.Donngal / Dungalach, the son of 98.Faelgus, one of the 2 sons of 97.Nad Fraich, the son of 96.Colgu the previous 15th King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 2 sons of 95.Failbhe Fland the 11th King of Cashel / Munster the great - grandson of 92.Felim the 4a King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 4 sons of 91.Aengus mac Nad Froich the 3rd King of Cashel / Munster, the son of 90.Nad Froich the 2nd King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster the aristocratic warrior ancestor of all of the Chaisil Septs. The Heberian Eoghanchta aristocratic warrior Septs by now were really feeling the pressure in Mogha's Half previously brought on by the constant Viking incursions.

With the Viking threat easing somewhat in Mogha's Half, 106.Carroll / Cearbhall, the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster, was growing in strength, and he allied himself with 102.Donough the new Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 28th King of Cashel / Munster and to show their new found combined overall authority they besieged the north - west into the territory of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn kingdoms of the 3 Connachta in the Connacht Province.

873 AD. The Irish forces began to combine their efforts and were able to drive the Vikings out of Dublin on the north - east coast of Southern Leinster.

873 - 888 AD. Due to the relief of the previous Viking pressure the emerging dynasty of 106.Carroll / Cearbhall the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny was in full swing, as he had also taken the opportunity to marry his daughters into the Viking families and with his new found "foreign" kindred connections he was able to protect Southern Leinster relying on his own resources.

876 AD. 106.Carroll / Cearbhall the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster continued to make further efforts to gain the upper hand there and also allied with the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Deisi Sept there and they were able to then defeat the Heberian Septs in the Munster Province.
