950 AD. 104.Kennedy became the Heberian Dalcassian King of Thomond / Northern Munster whose mother Babhion was a daughter of Arcadh O Flaherty, a son of Murrough / Murchad O Flaherty the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Seola King of Iar Connacht / Western Connacht and of his sons, 105.Duncan / Donncuan was the Tanaiste / Prince / heir apparent elect of Thomond who was to become the direct male line ancestor of the O Lonergans, O Gunnings, O Kennedys, O Regans, O Kellihers etc. 105.Ahern / Echthighern was to become the direct male line ancestor of the O Ahernes and Mac Graths who would be historians and bards to the future Heberian Dal gCais Ui mBriain Kings and Ecclesiastics in Co. Clare and Co. Limerick. 105.Marcan / marc (steed) was the Abbot of Killaloe, Tomgraney and Emly monasteries. 105.Mahon would become the future Heberian King of Thomond / Northern Munster and 39th King of Munster and *105.Brian Boru - of the Tributes the future King of Thomond, 41st King of Munster and 175th High King of Ireland. The Kennedy brothers worked well together in the Northern Munster region besieging and defeating the Vikings who were now made up mostly of the Danes under their leader, Ivar who was set up in Limerick in Co. Limerick in the north - west of Munster on the River Shannon
Blathmac who was now the Abbot of Skellig Michael monastery situated off the coast of Co. Kerry in the south - west of the Munster Province, died.
950 - 951 AD. The Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Niall Septs especially the "southern" were also feeling the ongoing impact of the intense Viking attacks and the disruption to the Irish Brehon Law, and in a display of his new found authority in Ireland, *104.Conghalach / Connolly Cnogba - of Knowth who was now the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Sil nAedo Slaine 172nd King of Ireland besieged Northern Munster / Thomond killing two of 104.Kennedys sons outright,. namely, 105.Duncan / Donncuan and 105.Ahern / Echthighern who were slain while supporting the Heberian nEoghanachta, who were now under the leadership of 104.Callaghan / Ceallachain the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 34th King of Cashel / Munster. *104.Conghalach's position as the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Niaill King, (of which the last King in their direct aristocratic warrior male line was 10 generations before in *94.Aed Slaine himself), was being challenged, and this attack at this time only showed his alarm at 104.Kennedy's rising strength in the Munster Province, as he would have been the heir - apparent / Tanaiste in the future to the Munster Kingship, but for his death also occurring in the following year.
951 AD. On the other hand by now, 104.Callaghan / Ceallachan the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 34th King of Munster was a stand out as an outstanding Heberian Eoghanacht leader as he retook the settlements along the coastal regions in the Munster Province, namely, Limerick, Cork, Cashel and Waterford back from the Vikings reviving the fortunes of the Eoghanachta due to his outstanding leadership qualities, and he also aligned the Danish Viking forces there in Munster with his own Heberian forces. He called up all of the 120 Irish ships that he had in the Munster fleet, from Kinsale in Co. Cork in Southern Munster to Galway Bay in the north in the Connacht Prvince and also met the invading Danish ships head on at Dundalk on the east - coast of Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster. He then called on the whole of the Irish Septs to support him to bring to an end to the Viking menace altogether, while the Irish fleet from the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill in the Ulster Province besieged the Vikings in the Hebrides.
952 AD. 104.Kennedy was by now also killed while fighting against the Heberian Eoghanachta and their Viking Danish supporters, as he had been able to finally challenge the Eoghanachta for supremacy in the Munster Province when he was to be assisted by *104.Congalach Cnogba - of Knowth the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill 172nd King of Ireland who was by now really feeling the pressure from the growing over - riding strength of 104.Callaghan / Ceallachain in Munster. He did this to distract the Eoghanachta from any expansion plans of their jurisdiction they might now have into his territory in Co. Meath / Midhe in the south - east of Northern Leinster. *104.Congalach Cnogba the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Siol nAedo King of Ireland was to soon come to realize that while pursuing his own agenda he had helped to create a further incentive for a rise in the growing power also of the Heberian Dal gCais Sept. From now on 104.Kennedy's surviving sons, especially the two young brothers, 105.Mahon and 105.Brian carried on unbroken guerrilla warfare in Munster against the Vikings and their Irish allies.
105.Mahon
who was now the oldest surviving son of 104.Kennedy became the new Heberian Dalcassian Ui Bloid Ui Turlough King of Thomond / Northern Munster. (The Ui Turlough Sept were very committed to their religious beliefs as their kinsman, 99.St. Flannan had been the Bishop of Killaloe, consecrated by Pope John 1V himself in Rome, and he had also gone over to Alba / Scotland as a missionary where the Flannan Islands off the coast of there in the Hebrides are named after him.104.Callaghan / Cellachan Chaisil the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 34th King of Munster, died this year, who was descended from 96.Colgan / Colgu the previous 15th King of Cashel / Munster, descended from 95.Failbhe Fland the 11th King of Cashel / Munster, descended from 91.Aengus mac Nad Froich the 3rd King of Cashel / Munster, the son of 90.Nad Froich the 2nd King of Cashel / Munster, one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster and the aristocratic warrior ancestor of all of the Chaisil Septs.
