968 AD.105.Mahon the Heberian Dalcassian 39th King of Cashel / Munster together with his younger brother, *105.Brian Boru besieged the Viking Danes led by Ivar the Viking Chief who had now allied himself with two of the the unhappy Heberian Eoghanachta Chieftains, Donovan / Donnabhan from the Ui Fidgeinti Sept, who had their territory at Bally Hickey in Co. Cork in Southern Munster, and 109.Molloy / Mael Muadh from the Ui Raithlind Sept who had their terrtory in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province who both led their Eoghanachta followers against 105.Mahon's forces with the battle lasting from Sunrise to Sunset. Ivar, Donovan and 109.Molloy were able to escape capture and went overseas, and the sons of 104.Kennedy then became especially famous throughout Ireland for this particular outstanding victory, that had occurred at  Sologhead / Sulcoit in Co. Tipperary and from there the 104.Kennedy brothers moved onto Limerick the very next day taking the actual Viking settlement there, which they looted and burned, gaining many valuables, and thereafter good years were to follow as 105.Mahon the Heberian Dal gCais 39th King of Cashel / Munster instead of Co. Clare had decided to rule from Limerick in Co. Limerick from the Vikings where he could attempt to control the Viking Danes still throughout the region.

During this period a Round Tower was constructed 85' high, 51' around and with 4' thick walls with a doorway 12' up on the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province, together with a church, but is now long gone.

974 AD. The Limerick region in Co. Limerick in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province was by now once again coming under the control of Ivar the Danish Viking Chief who had previously returned to the area and he began laying siege to 105.Mahon the Heberian Dal gCais 39th King of Cashel / Munster who was now set up there in Co. Limerick.

975 - 976 AD 105.Mahon the Heberian Dalcassian 39th King of Cashel / Munster was deviously entrappede by Donovan under a religious pact of obtaining peace and was then handed over to his enemies who butchered him under the command of Ivar the Danish Viking Chief, who along with his allies Donovan from the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti Sept, and 109.Molloy / Mael Muadh from the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Raithlind Sept,  the two Eoghanacht Chiefs, had gone into battle against him on the border of Co. Clare in the north - west of Munster.

It seemed the Heberian Eoghanachta where now at their lowest ebb and may have finally run their race as to the overall Kingship of Munster Province, but despite this, eventually the descendants of 105.Donough / Donnchad the previous Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 38th King of Cashel / Munster would bring it to life again with the assistance of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai O Connor Kings to suite their agendas at that time through his son, 106.Justin / Saerbrethach, his son, 107.Carthy / Carrthach and his son. 108.Murray / Muiredach mac Carthy who would be the father of 109.Teige Mac Carthy of Des Muman / Desmond / Southern Munster  who would die in 1124 AD as the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 46c King of Cashel / Munster.
