Oil: steep the Flowers in Oil in the Sunlight for 3 weeks and then strain out the Flowers and add fresh ones to the Oil and repeat 2 - 3 times.

MUSTARD / White Mustard / Brassica alba -  Black Mustard / Brassica nigra. Northern Hemisphere. (Use the English one.) 

 Actions: Diuretic, Powerful Emetic and Irritant, Rubefacient and Stimulant. Powder Seeds: are excellent Rubefacients to warm the Skin & Flesh and reduce pain.

Cultivation: A short growing annual herb with bright yellow flowers. Product: the Seeds are used. Condiment: for negating the effects of Fatty Foods. Paste or Powder: by adding water. Plaster: add sufficient tepid water and flour to 1 Tablespoon of crushed Mustard Seeds to make a thick paste and place the mixture in a folded cloth and apply to the painful area. If the Skin is delicate or dry, massage the area with Olive Oil first and do not leave the Plaster on for more then 5 minutes and check the Skin is not unduly reddened or burned.

Cultivation: A large shrub of irregular growth. Product: the Resinous hardened Gum is used that contains Essential Oils. Externally: Combine with Witch Hazel. Infusions & Decoctions: are hard to produce, as the Resin does not dissolve easily. Internally: For the Immune System.
