HORSES - 6
Statistics
60% of Mares produce Live Foals, 17% of Foals die before 12 months of age, 30% actually get to the races.
The balance between Nature and the demand placed on them must be kept up to ensure that they are healthy in Body and Mind.
Effect Of Colour
Dark Coloured Horses as well as Black and Liver Chestnuts have a greater Copper requirement then Lighter coloured Horses, which is pertinent, as much of Australia is deficient in Copper and its natural partner Cobalt.
Horses see Blue, Green and Yellow.
Body Systems
Both Drugs and Herbs have a Molecular structure that can be detected, but Bach Flower Essences do not have a Molecular structure and are designed to balance and harmonize the System holistically.
To balance the System takes (12 weeks or 1 x Blood Cycle.)
The important Minerals involved are Chloride, Sodium and Potassium, and these can be given naturally in the feed and as Sodium and Potassium work together they balance the Body Fluids, the Kidneys, the pH and also prevent Arthritis.
The Kidneys remove the Body wastes via the fluids, so they require Sodium, or dehydration will occur while on the other hand too much Sodium also can mean the fluid is retained. Natural Sodium alkalizes and is not retained in Body Fluids but Common Salt / Sodium Chloride produces an Acid state retaining excess fluids.
Chlorine combines with Sodium and becomes a Body and Blood cleanser. The best natural Sodium is to be found in Rock Salt, Seaweed, Celery and Carrots, and is also in Apple Cider Vinegar, Celery Seeds, Dandelion Greens and Sunflower Seeds.
Potassium works with Sodium and also regulates Muscle function and Tone. The best natural sources of Potassium are Apple Cider Vinegar, Black Sunflower Seeds, Bran, Seaweed, Rice Bran and Wheat Germ.
Celtic Organic Sea Salt is best to add to the feed if extra Salt is required, as it is high in Chlorine, Potassium and Sodium and 1 or 2 teaspoons a day can be given depending on the amount of sweat lost.
Fussy Drinkers: Add Molasses @ 1 x Tablespoon to 5 Litres of water. There are also various Herbs that can be added to encourage the drinking of water.
Electrolytes: Hot weather taxes the Horse's Cooling System.
Synthetic Electrolytes can be given in excess and overload the Kidneys and the Urinary System.
Humane Training
Understanding how the Horse actually thinks is also very important! Any aggressive action against them will always be remembered by the individual Horse for the rest of its Life and acted on in some way or another.
Their Size, their Age, their Breed, their Colour, their Occupation, the Season, their shelter, their Pasture or their fodder quality, their Teeth, proper Worming, and individual feed conversion rate and requirements all have an eventual Overall Effect.
