O Quane or O Quan - Irish / Ua Cuain / Cuan. A Sept / Family branch, who had their original territory in Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province who for the last 300 years have been in Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province. Ancestor: Cuan.

 

Quaney. Used as a variant for Queeney, which see,  in Co. Roscommon in the east of the Connacht Province.
