to be interred when he died. He left illegitimate sons who are the
ancestors of the Slioght Glas who had their
particular territory at Ballinadee and Ballymoney on the River Bandon under the brothers,
Donogh, Donnell and Finin Mac Carthy whose main
stronghold in 1601 AD was at Phale Castle. Finin went
to Spain in 1601 AD and Donogh died soon after,
leaving Donnell as the Chief
of the Phale Carties. Owen
