O Sharry. A Sept / Family branch who had their territory in the Ulster Province. Not connected to Mac Sharry.

Mac Sharry or Mac Foley - Irish / Mac Searraigh / searrach (foal / flighty). A Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Sept / Family branch who had their territory in the kingdom of Breifne in the north of Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht and were also nearby in Co. Sligo in the north - west of Connacht. Mac Foley was used in Co. Roscommon in the east of Connacht. A Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Fiachrach Aidne Sept / Family branch originally descended from 90.Fiachra Foltleathan (Ui Fiachrach), a brother to 90.Brion (Ui Briuin) and 90.Ailill (Ui Ailello) 3 Connachta) and a half - brother to 90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland in the 4th Century AD (Ui Niaill). They had their territory at Kiltartan in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht where they were Kings and Chiefs. During the reign of the Welsh Tudors in England they were the main Sept in Gort in Co. Galway and they have a Tomb in the church there, but their main burial place was in the Templemore / Teampall Mhuire at Kilmacduagh in Co. Galway on land given to St. Colman by their ancestor 98.Guaire Aidhne the Ui Fiachrach Aidne 14th King of Connacht the ancestor of the Cinel Guaire who died in 663. Shaw. Scottish Highland origins from the Clan Mackintosh. They have been in the Ulster Province since the 16th Century AD, but most of them came with the confiscation of the 3,500,000 acres of the northern Ui Niaill territories and the foreign non - Catholic plantations of Ulster. George Bernard Shaw is descended from an army officer who was with William of Orange  during his particular Invasion.

A Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Muscraige Clan na Deaga Sept / Family branch, whose original territory was in the south and east of Co. Kerry in the south - west of the Munster Province where they were Chiefs of Iveragh and Kings of Muskerry in Co. Cork in Southern Munster.
