Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster.

Mahon O Griffey the Heberian Dal gCais Catholic Bishop of Killaloe in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province, died this year, and was interred there in the Abbey of the Cannon on Canon Island near the mouth of the Fergus River.

Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald the English eighth Earl of Kildare attacked the Heberian Dal gCais Sept for supporting a claimant to the Butler English Earldom of Ormonde in Co. Kilkenny / Ossory in Mogha's Half in the south - west of Southern Leinster, against the one who he had considered was the legitimate heir, who was also married to his sister and he crossed the River Shannon with a large army into the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Caisin Mac Namara's territory in Co. Clare into the north - east of the Munster Province, and captured the castle at Bally Cullen and he then marched on towards Conor na Shrona O Brian's fortress at Clonroad in Ennis but  the Dalcassians were able to cut him off at Quin, and also again at Bally Hickey Castle, and he was to be defeated, while Conor na Shrona O Brian was later also able to capture Fineen Mac Namara's Castle back near Quin.

Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald the English eighth Earl of Kildare's position in Ireland was very strong and only getting stronger as he put an Act through the Anglo - Irish Parliament to allow the Anglo - Irish Council the power to personally elect someone of their choice as the English Justiciar in Ireland to keep or guard the English Lordship over Ireland as there was a sudden vacancy in the English appointed Deputyship and he also named those for life who were to form the composition of those electors with replacement only by himself. He was also married to Alice Fitz Eustace the daughter of Roland Fitz Eustace the Anglo - Irish Treasurer, while another of his sisters, Eleanor was married to 123.Conn Mor - the Greater O Niall "The O Niall" the Heremonian  Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain King in the Ulster Province, who was the son of 122.Henry / Einri O Niall. 123.Conn Mor O Niall's son, 124.Conn Bacach O Niall later on was to also become the English appointed first English Earl of Tyrone, who was to marry Eleanor, his first cousin, who was also Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald's the eighth English Earl of Kildare's daughter. It now seemed that he had Ireland pretty well had most of the authority in well and truly sown up.

After the sudden death of Edward 1V, his young infant son, Edward became Edward V the second Yorkist King of England, but Edward IV''s younger brother Richard 111 / Cing Risderd, soon gained overall control in England this year also, but would only survive until 1485 AD as the new third Norman Yorkist King of England, who was to also turn out to be the last of the Yorkist Norman Plantagenet Kings as he had declared his brother's 2 young sons illegitimate, and it was to be generally believed that he was to do away with them both after putting them in the Tower of London, for safekeeping, which was to win him no friends in England or elsewhere. He immediately appointed a new English Chancellor to oversee Ireland for him, but Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald the eighth Earl of Kildare had already appointed his own brother, Sir Thomas Fitz Gerald to the position, and he refused to admit Richard 111's appointee under the Statute he had personally put through the Anglo - Irish Parliament. This then meant that Richard 111 was forced to retain Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald the eighth Earl of Kildare in the office, and also accept his younger brother Sir Thomad Fitz Gerald as the Anglo - Irish Chancellor in Ireland and although Richard 111 made out that he agreed with Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald's decisions, when he was to personally visit him in England, in reality he was only biding his time to while trying to regain the upper hand in Ireland, He eventually sent the Catholic Bishop of Annaghdown to Ireland to try and make contact, with any other English rebels and dissidents, that he would be able to find who were against the interests of Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald and this was to included Gerald Mor Fitz Gerald's kinsmen, Garret Fitz Gerald the English Earl of Desmond, as well as 123.Conn Mor - the Greater O Niall "The O Niall" the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain King of Ulster Province. (Despite Richard 111's efforts, very shortly the future Henry V11, the Welsh Tudor Usurper, would be the following new English King, although he was only distantly related maternally to the Lancasters, as he would do a deal with the merchants in the English Parliament, to get in and all of Richard 111's plans would be for nothing.

Previously Gerald Mor Fitzgerald the eighth English Earl of Kildare had basically ruled Ireland for England, and had been accepted by the Yorkists and had therefore been a Yorkist supporter, and he had even previously supported attempts against  the imposition of the Usurper, Henry V11 but despite this, because of his strong connections to all of the prominent families in Ireland, he was to be still left in charge as the English Viceroy in Ireland, although the Butlers the English Earls of Ormonde had been the real supporters of the Norman Lancasters.
