652 AD *97.Conall Cael the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 148th joint King of Ireland, died, and this was to see the end of his particular male line from his father 96.Mael Cobo the previous144nd King of Ireland descended from 91.Conall Gulban (Cenel Conaill) the 1st King of Ailech, but his brother, 97.Kelly / Ceallach who had ruled with him as the 148th joint King was to survive for another four years until 656 AD. 

653 AD Marcan mac Tommain the Dal Cuinn Ui Maine King of the Medraige Sept was killed in the Battle of Airther Seola in the Connacht Province up against the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Kings, 95.Kennelly / Cenn Faelad mac Colgan the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Seola Prince / Tanaiste  and 99.Maenach mac Baethine from the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Breifne King, who were both descended from 90.Brion. Marcan mac Tommain had been married to Creidne, a daughter of 98.Guaire Aidni the Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Fiachrach Prince / Tanaiste. Later as the fortunes of the Dal Cuinn Ui Fiachrach Aidhne Sept were to decline, so would the allegiance of the Dal Cuinn Ui Maine kinsmen to them. Fergus / Fearghus, the son of Donnell / Domhnall and 99.Fergus, the son of 98.Reilly / Raghallach mac Uatach the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai 12th King of Connacht, and Aedh Beathra, a son of Cuimin, were also killed by the Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept.

      99.Maenach mac Baethine the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of Breifne, died this year, which ended his particular male line from 92.Eogan Srem to the Kingship, and 100.Dub Dothra mac Dunchado, who was the son of his brother, 99.Dunchad, became the new Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of the Conmaicne Sept only, who was to also become the direct male line ancestor of the O Rourke / Ua Ruairc Heremonian Dal Cuinn Kings of West Breifne in the Connacht Province.

654 AD 99.Fergus mac Reilly aka 99.Muirgius mac Raghailligh the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai King, died this year, (who was one of the sons of 98.Reilly mac Uatach the previous 12th King of Connacht), who was to be the father of 99.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan who would become the Dal Cuinn 18th King of Connacht and the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray) Sept leading on to the O Connor Kings of Connacht and Ireland and the Mac Dermots and Mac Donaghs.

655 AD 98.Lynch / Laidgnen / Loingsech the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Fiachrach Aidni 13th King of Connacht died, which ended his particular male line to the Kingship altogether as he left no aristocratic warrior issue of his own. His father had been 97.Colman mac Coffey / Cobthaig  the previous 11th King of Connacht, and his brother was to be 98.Guaire Aidhne who became the new Dal Cuinn southern Ui Fiachrach Aidni 14th King of Connacht, 98.Guarie Aidni was to take the Ui Fiachrach Aidhne Sept to its pinnacle, and his eventual overlordship in the territory in the south of the Connacht Province was to extend down to the north of the Shannon Estuary. 99.Creidhe, one of his daughters had been the wife of Marcan the Dal Cuinn Ui Maine King who was killed in 653 AD, and the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai O Connors / Ui Conchobair were to also later on claim her as their ancestress. After the death of Marcan she eventually also became the mistress of Cano mac Gartnain, a King in Scotland. At this time St. Caimmine was the Abbot at Holy Island / Inis Celtra on Loch Derg in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province, which was also previously a southern part of the Connacht Province, and it was closely associated with the Heberian Dal gCais Sept who now held the territory there, and 98.Guaire Aidni was closely associated with him. 98.Guaire Aidni was also the aristocratic warrior overlord there of the Heberian Cianachta Corco Mruadh Sept at Corcomroe there in the north - west of Co. Clare, and the Heremonian Muscraige Corco Baiscind Sept, which also created rivalry with the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti Sept in Northern Munster / Thomond into territory, which was to be later taken over by the In Deis Tuaiscirt Dal gCais Sept also. Despite his successful reign in Southern Connacht his Dal Cuinn southern Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept would not retain control there and they would lose their aristocratic position eventually also to the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Kings of Connacht who had their territory to the north of them in Connacht   

656 AD *97.Kelly / Ceallach who had previously ruled in his own right for four years as the Heremonian Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 148th King of Ireland, died. at Brugh mac an Og, who was the surviving son of *96.Mael Cobo the previous 144th King of Ireland and this was to be the end of their particular aristocratic male line to 91.Conall Gulban (Cenel Conaill) the 1st King of Ailech, who had been one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland. (Ui Niaill.)

     100.Crundmael Erbuilc the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig 9a King of Leinster was killed by his kinsman, 99.Faelan mac Colmain from the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Sept. (He had been the son of 99.Ronan who may have, or have not been, the previous 8th King of Leinster who was descended from 95.Criffan / Crimthann the Cu Corb 3rd King of Leinster, who had been the son of 94.Enna Cennsalach the Cu Corb 2nd King of Leinster who is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Cheinnselaig / Kinsella Sept. During the Century ahead the Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Sept who had their territory at Raith Bile / Rathvilly in the north of Co. Carlow in Southern Leinster were to be thoroughly defeated by their kinsmen the Ui Dunlainge Sept who had their territory in the northern plains. The result of this is that they would be forced to cross over the Blackstair Mountains into the territory in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Southern Leinster, which was then to be based on the monastery at Ferns of St. Maedoc / Aed who was originally himself from Templeport in Co. Cavan in Southern Ulster. (He later became the Patron Saint of Southern Leinster and also of the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin kingdom of Breifne in Northern Connacht and Co. Cavan. 100.Crundmael was to leave behind 2 sons who were to leave aristocratic warrior issue, 101.Aed Ron who was to be the Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Ui nDrona King, and his brother, 101.Fiachra who was to become the father of 102.Aed the future Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig 17a King of Leinster who would be their last King of Leinster for nearly 300 years as the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Sept took over.

      99.Faelan mac Colmain became the new Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 10th King of Leinster, who was a son of 98.Colman Mor the previous 6c King of Leinster descended from 94.Dunlaing the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Dunlainge Sept, the son of 93.Enna Nia, the son of 92.Bressal Belach the Cu Corb 1st King of Leinster, a son of 91.Fiachu Ba hAiccid - the Lame (one of the 10 sons of 90.Caher / Cathair Mor the previous Cu Corb 109th King of Tara / Ireland who left aristocratic issue. He had fostered St. Kevin / Caemgen, who was a young Cu Corb Prince who had previously been rejected by his step - mother, who was from the Cu Corb Ui Garrchon Sept, ( just like so many of the other Leinster Saints), who were descended from 87.Mess Corb, one of the 4 sons of 86.Cu Corb the direct male line ancestor of all of the Cu Corb Septs. 99.Faelan mac Colmain’s brother, 99.Aed Dubh was the Abbot of Kildare in Co. Kildare in Southern Leinster whose son, 100.Aengus / Oengus also became the Bishop of Kildare, while another of his brothers 99.Aed Find was to become the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Maele Caich Sept who had their territory at Naas (the ancient capital of the Kings of Leinster). Kildare was in the territory of the original kingdom of the Cu Corb Ui Failge / O Faley Sept who were directly descended from 91.Ros Failge (another one of the 10 sons of 90.Cahir / Cathair Mor the 109th King of Tara / Ireland. At that time they had their fortress at Rathangan / Raith Imgain in the north - west on the edge of the Bog of Allan, and it was they who were to recognize Armagh in Co. Armagh in the south - east of the Ulster Province later on, for their respective recognition of St. Brigid in Kildare in Co. Kildare in Southern Leinster.

      100.Crundamal who was the Heremonian U Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory who had his territory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster, died, who was a son of 99.Ronan Righfhlaith a previous King of Ossory, and his son, 101.Faelan became the new Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory until 658 AD,

    Nochaemhoch a contemporary of St. Kevin / Caemgen died this year at 105 years of age.

657 - 664 AD 95.Diarmaid and 95. Blathmac the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine joint 5th Kings of Brega became the joint 149th and 150th Kings of Ireland respectively who were two of the surviving 5 sons of 94.Aedh Slaine the previous joint 141st King of Ireland the direct male line ancestor of the Siol nAedo Slaine Sept . He had been the youngest of the 3 sons of 93.Diamait mac Carroll / Cerbaill the previous 133rd King of Ireland descended from 91.Conall Cremthainn, another of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland.    

    St Mochua aka St. Cronan died at the monastery at Timahoe / Teach Mochua (The House of Mochua) in Co. Laois in the mid - west of Southern Leinster, which was to be completely destroyed.

     Cuimmine Find was to be the 7th Abbot at Iona until 669 AD were he wrote the Liber de virtutibus Columbae, which was later incorporated into the writings of Adomnan's, Life of 94.Columbcille.

658 AD 101.Faelan the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory who had his territory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster was killed by the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Septs of Leinster Province, and  Tuaim Snamha became the new King of Ossory, until 678 AD, who was a son of ?                     

659 AD 95.Dunchad another of the 5 sons of 94.Aedh Slaine the previous Dal Cuinn Ui Cremthainne southern Ui Niaill joint 141st King of Ireland, was drowned in a mill race by Marcan, and Maelodhran the son of Dima Cron of Leinster, but despite his early demise he was to be the father of *96.Finsnechta Fledach the future 9th King of Brega and 153rd King of Ireland).

     90.Conall the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Scottii King of Dal Riada, died, who was the younger son of 89.Aidan the previous King of Dal Riada who had died in 608 AD. 

     St. Molua / Lughaidh also founded a Church at Balla in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of the Connacht Province.  St. Mullin / St. Moling founded a monastery in Co. Carlow on the River Barrow in Southern Leinster.
