701 AD *98.Lynch / Loingseach (sea mariner) the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 149th King of Ireland who was also an Abbott, and a son of 97.Aenghus / Oengus, a son of *96.Donnell mac Aedo the previous 146th King of Ireland, was killed in the Battle of Corann in the south of Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province by 99.Kelly / Cellach who was now the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai 19th King of Connacht who had his territory at Loch Cime, (99.Kelly was another one of the 3 sons of 98.Reilly / Raghallach the previous 12th King of Connacht). *98.Lynch / Loingseach was to be recorded as the King of Ireland in the Annals of Ulster, and one of his surviving sons, *99.Flaherty / Flaithbertach was to become the future 159th King of Ireland. By this period in time the Heremonian Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill Sept had been driven further south by their Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill kinsmen the Cenel nEogain who were continually expanding their territory surrounding Co. Derry in the north of the Ulster Province. As a result *98.Lynch / Loingseach had been forced to extend his territory further southwards also into Northern Connacht while trying to exert his own authority in his region. Also killed in the Battle of Corann were 3 of his sons, 99.Artgal, 99.Connachtach and 99.Flann Gearg, along with 2 sons of Colcen, also Dubh Dibhearg, the son of Dungal, and Fergus Forcraith, along with Conall Gabrahan and many other northern Ui Niaill Princes.

     97.Niall from the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine Sept, died, who was a son of 96.Cernach Sotal who had died in 668 AD, whose father had been *95.Diarmait the previous 149th King of Ireland who had died in 665 AD, who was one of the 5 sons of, *94.Aed Slaine descended from 91.Conall Cremthainne, one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Ireland). 97.Niall was to become the direct male line ancestor of the southern Ui Niaill Kings of Lagore / South Brega in Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster. 

702 AD 100.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai 18th King of Connacht, died, who had his territory at  Magh nAi in the Connacht Province, who was a son of 99.Fergus / Muirgius, a son 98.Reilly / Raghallach the previous Ui Briuin Ai 12th King of Connacht, descended from 90.Brion the original first Dal Cuinn King of Connacht. 100.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan would become the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Siol Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray) Sept who would produce 14 Kings of Connacht and 2 Kings of Ireland.

      The Battle of Claen Ath occurred this year between 101.Kelly / Cellach Cualann the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Mail 13th King of Leinster and *98.Fogartach, the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine 14th King of Brega, a son of 97.Niall, descended from 91.Conall Cremthainne. *98.Fogartach would later become the 157th King of Ireland in his own right, but he was to be defeated on this occasion, and 96.Bobhchadh of Meath, the son of *95.Diarmait, the previous joint 149th King of Ireland was among those killed during this conflict.

702 - 708 AD  *98.Congal Cend Maghair, became the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 155th King of Ireland, who was a son of 97.Fergus Fanat / Fearghus Fanaid another of the sons of *96.Donnell mac Aedo the previous 146th King of Ireland descended from 91.Conall Gulban the 1st King of Tir Conaill / Tyrconnell / Co. Donegal who was another of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland).    

704 AD Onan / St. Adomnan the Abbot of Iona, who was also from the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill Sept in the north - west of the Ulster Province, who had previously written the Life of 94.St. Columbcille / St. Columba died this year, who was related personally, not only to 94.St. Columbcille, but also to *96.Donnell Mac Aedo the previous 143rd King of Ireland and 98.Lynch the previous 149th King of Ireland,  He was the Patron Saint of Raphoe and is remembered there on the 23rd of September each year.    

705 AD 99.Kelly / Cellach mac Raghailligh the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai 19th King of Connacht, died, who had his territory at Loch Hacket near Headford in the far - west of Magh nAi in Northern Connacht, and he was to become the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Cellaig /  Kelly) Sept, and was a son of 98.Reilly mac Uatach the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Sept who had been the previous 12th King of Connacht. 99.Kelly was of a very great age as his father had been the previous King of Connacht for 27 years, and he had since retired to the church, but his Ui Briuin Ai Siol Cellaig Sept were to continue to contest for the Kingship of Connacht with that of his brothers from the Siol Muireadhaigh Sept and the Siol Cathail Sept during the 8th Century AD. Eventually the Ui Briuin Ai Siol Cellaig Sept were to be driven out of their Headford territory by another of the Ui Briuin Septs, the Ui Briuin Seola descended from 92.Senach, a brother to their direct male line ancestor 92.Eogan Srem, who were both sons of 91.Daui Tenga Uma - of the Sweet Tongue the previous Ui Briuin 3rd King of Connacht  who had been a son of 90.Brion the first Dal Cuinn King of Connacht. a son of *86.Eochy Mugmedon the previous 124th King of Tara / Ireland.

      There was now a regime change again as the Dal Cuinn Ui Fiachrach Sept in the north of the Connacht Province re - engaged their Sept in the Kingship of Connacht with 97.Indrechtach / Ionnrachtach mac Dunchada becoming the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Fiachrach Muaide 20th King of Connacht, who was a son of 96.Dunchad Muirisci the previous 16th King of Connacht descended from 92.Fiachnae the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Fiachrach Muaide Sept in the north, descended also from 90.Fiachra the second Dal Cuinn King of Connacht who had been a younger brother to 90.Brion the first King of Connacht. (Both had been sons of *89.Eochy Mugmedon the previous 124th King of Tara / Ireland).

     *98.Congal Cend Maghair, who was now the Heremonian Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 155th King of Ireland, who was a son of 97.Fergus Fanad, descended from 91.Conall Gulban the first King of Tyrconnell, was successful in the Battle of Leathairbhe over their ever expanding kinsmen, the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain Sept who were descended from his brother, 91.Eogan the 1st King of Ailech, (Both had been 2 of the northern sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the previous 126th King of Tara / Ireland.)

707 AD 97.Indrechtach mac Dunchada the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Fiachrach Muaide 20th King of Connacht, was killed by *98.Fergal / Fearghal from the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain, (who was a son of 97.Mael Duin), and 99.Fergal the son of *98.Lynch / Loingseach the previous Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 149th King of Ireland, and Conall Mean the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Cenel Cairbre King descended from 91.Cairbre. 97.Indrechtach had been one of the 3 sons of 96.Dunchad Muirisci the previous 16th King of Connacht who was descended from *91.Nathi / Dathi the 127th King of Tara / Ireland, (one of the 3 sons of 90.Fiachra the second Dal Cuinn King of Connacht. This battle was brought about due to the previous defeat in 704 AD and death of *98.Lynch / Loingseach the Cenel Conaill 149th King of Ireland and Conall Mean the Cenel Cairbre / Cairpre King. In the Connacht Province from now on the term King of the 3 Connachta was to be used until the 10th Century AD, and the authority of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Septs was now also growing much stronger as they occupied the central plains there, where they were uncontested in the region around the ancient capital of Cruachan / Cruacha in Magh nAi in the Connacht Province.

      101.Indrechtach mac Murray / Muireadach became the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Siol Muireadhaigh 21st King of Connacht, who was one of the 2 sons of 100.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan the previous 18th King of Connacht who now also became the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray) Sept whop were to become predominant in the Connacht Province.  

      97.Becc Bairrche the Dal Fiatach 17th King of Ulaid, who had their territory in the east of the Ulster Province, abdicated this year, who was a son of 96.Blathmac the previous 14th King of Ulaid, descended from 90.Forgg mac Dallain, and he would become the father of 98.Aed Roin the future 19th King of Ulaid.

707AD 99.Cu Chuaran became the Irian Dal nAraidi 18th King of Ulaid, who had their territory in the north - east of the Ulster Province, who was a son of 98.Dungal Eilni the previous 13th Dal nAraidi  King, a son of 97.Scandal the 8a Dal nAraidi King, descended from *91.Coelub one of the 2 sons of 90.Crond Ba Drui descended from *62.Rory Mor the 84th King of Tara / Erinn, 37.Ir (Irians.) 

708 AD  *98.Congal Cendmagair the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 155th King of Ireland, died of natural causes, whose father was 97.Fergus Fanat, who had been one of the 2 sons of *96.Donnell mac Aedo the previous 146th King of Ireland descended from 91.Conall Gulban the 1st King of Tir Conaill / Tyrconnell / Co. Donegal, one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland).

       99.Cu Chuaran the Irian Dal nAraidi 18th King of Ulaid was killed by Finnchu mac Ronain. 99.Cu Chuaran's father had been 98.Dungal Eilni  the previous 13th Dal nAraidi King, who was descended from Eochy / Eochaidh the 4th King of Ulaid descended from 90.Crond Ba Drui. This was to see the end of his Irian male line altogether emanating originally from 94.Baetan to the Kingships.

       97.Lethlobar the 18th Irian Dal nAraidi King also died this year, whose father was 96.Eochy / Eochaidh Iarlaithe the previous 10th King Dal nAraidi King Sept who had died in 666 AD, whose father was 95.Fiachnae Lurgan the previous 9th King of Ulaid who had died in 626 AD descended from 93.Eochy / Eochaidh the 4th King of Ulaid who had died in 553 AD, who had been a grandson of *91.Coelub the Irian 123rd king of Ireland, who had been one of the 2 sons of 90.Crond Ba Drui descended from *62.Rory Mor the 84th King of Tara / Erinn, 37.Ir. (Irians.)

709 - 718 AD *98.Fergal / Fearghal mac Maele Duin who was the Heremonian Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 17th King of Ailech in the north of the Ulster Province became the 156th King of Ireland, who was a son of 97.Mael Duin the previous 14th King of Ailech who had died in 681 AD, a grandson of *95.Aed Uaridnach the 143rd King of Ireland.
