                                                                                                                                                                            Mac Carthy - 10

954 AD 104.Callaghan / Cellachan Caisil the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 34th King of Cashel / Munster, who is one of the outstanding ancestors of the Mac Carthys had died, and since that time owing to the total disruption caused to the Irish Brehon Law by the ongoing Viking insurgency the Heberian Eoghanacht Septs where by now struggling among themselves as to who should be the next Eoghanacht King of Cashel / Munster to try and combine their forces and take the Viking menace head on. 105.Donough / Donnchad one of his sons, who would become the grandfather of 107.Carthy / Carthach - the Loving One the direct male line ancestor of the Mac Carthys / Mheic Carrthaigh would have to wait another 9 years for his turn at the Kingship as the aristocratic warrior selection to Kingship within the Eoghanacht Septs was getting weaker and weaker.

Another sign of this instability occurring was when 105.Mael Fathardairg became the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 35th King of Cashel / Munster, who was descended from 94.Sechnusach another of the sons of 95.Fingen who had been the previous 9th Chaisil King of Cashel / Munster, as his particular male line had also never produced an Eoghanacht King of Munster before. 95.Fingen had been a brother to 95.Failbhe Fland the previous the 11th King of Cashel / Munster who had been 104.Callaghan's and 105.Donough's direct male line ancestor,

957 AD. 105.Mael Fathardairg, the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 35th King of Cashel / Munster, died this year, who had only ruled for 3 years, and his son, 106.Dungal O Donoghue  / Ui Donnchada would also later on become the 39a King of Cashel / Munster and thedirect male line  ancestor of the O Donoghue Locha Leine Septs in the Munster Province.

105.Dub Da Bairren now became the new Heberian Eoghanacht Raithlind Ui Echach Muman Ui Laegairi 36th King of Cashel / Munster, who was to be the first King of Cashel / Munster also from his particular male line descending all the way back to 93.Loegaire, and his grandfather, 90.Mac Cass who had been one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster.

959 AD. 105.Dub Da Bairren the Heberian Eoghanacht Raithlind Ui Echach Muman Ui Laegairi 36th King of Cashel / Munster was to die this year, who had been descended from 90.mac Cass another of the 7 sons of 89.Conall Corc, after only 2 years in the Kingship, which was to see the end of their Eoghanacht Raithlind male line altogether.

105.Fer Graid now became the new Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 37th King of Cashel / Munster, who was descended from 103.Ailgenan the  previous 25th King of Cashel / Munster who had died way back in 853 AD and therefore also of 95.Failbhe Fland the 11th King of Cashel / Munster the same as the Mac Carthys.

961 AD 105.Fer Graid the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 37th King of Cashel / Munster, was to die this year also after only ruling for 2 years, which also ended their particular male line to the Kingship of Munster altogether.

105.Donough / Donnchad mac Cellachain was then inaugurated as the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 38th King of Cashel / Munster, who was a son of 104.Callaghan / Cellachan Caisil the previous Eoghanacht Chaisil 34th King of Cashel / Munster, descended from 95.Failbhe Fland who had been the 11th King of Cashel Munster, but although he too was to only to survive for 2 years he became another ancestor of the Mac Carthys.

The Eoghanacht Septs were by now really in big trouble with 4 of the Heberian Eoghanacht Kings of Munster gone in only 9 years, while at the same time they were slowly being ousted from the south of Co. Tipperary and Co. Limerick also not only by the Viking incursions, but the retaliating actions of the Heberian Dal gCais Septs in Northern Munster who were now under the command of not only 105.Mahon who was by now the Heberian Dal gCais King of Northern Munster / Thomond, but also his eager younger brother *105.Brian Boru. The Dal gCais / Dalcassians were constantly taking the Vikings head on wherever they could, and because of their continuing success that they were having they were becoming more famous all over Ireland, as the Norsemen were continuing to set up settlements along the coast of Ireland in Co. Dublin and Co. Wexford in Southern Leinster and in Co. Cork and Co. Limerick in the Munster Province. The Vikings would go wherever they could gain a hold along the coast in Ireland, to carry out their attacks against the individual Irish Septs, who were inland dwellers, who had no settlements as such of their own along the coastal regions to repel their advance, except for around the Rock of Cashel. The Vikings were also in Loch Neagh in the north in the Ulster Province in great numbers, and were making it hard for the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Niaill Septs, both the "northern" in the Ulster Province, and the "southern" in the Midlands / Midhe / Meath kingdom in Northern Leinster, where it was becoming increasingly difficult to contain their raids into the north from out of Dublin (Dubh Linn) - the Black Pool. From there the Vikings were able to raid everywhere, and everyone, including the monasteries and the churches, and destroy the valuable books and manuscripts, while taking the silver and gold covers and religious vessels to melt them down. Due to the increasing weakening of the Heberian Eoghanacht Septs, and the growing strength of the Heberian Dal gCais Sept in the ongoing conflicts against the Viking incursions the Dal gCais Sept was well and truly by now on the upswing in Munster.

965 AD 105.Donough / Donnchad mac Cellachain the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 38th King of Cashel / Munster, died at his fortress on the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the Munster Province, and it was now up to his son, 106.Saerbrethach (Noble of Judgement carry the Mac Carthy male line forward as the father of 107.Carthy / Carthach the direct male line ancestor of the Mac Carthys.

105.Mahon, the older brother of *105.Brian Boru, who were both 2 of the younger sons of 104.Kennedy, now became the Heberian Dal gCais 39th King of Cashel / Munster, the first of the Heberian Dalcassians to gain the Kingship of Munster back from the Heberian Eoghanacht Septs and while he was all for accommodating the Vikings to try and bring about peace in Mogha's Half / Southern Leinster and the Munster Province, on the other hand *105.Brian Boru his younger brother was determined to drive them out of Ireland altogether.

976 AD 109.Molloy / Mael Muad who was now the Heberian Eoghanacht Raithlind King was upset by missing out on his chance to gain the Eoghanacht Kingship of Cashel / Munster and he was now in conflict with 105.Mahon the first of the Heberian Dal gCais Sept to become the 39th King of Cashel / Munster, as he believed as an Eoghanacht King it should have gone to him, so he decided to use treachery to bring 105.Mahon undone, and he had the Catholic Bishop of Cork and the Catholic clergy arrange a meeting with 105.Mahon to discuss his greivance. He was in an alliance with 107.Donovan who was now the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti King who was married to the daughter of Ivor who had previously been the Viking King of Limerick.

The meeting was arranged  to be held in Co. Kerry in the south - west of the Munster Province, and on arriving their in good faith 105.Mahon was seized by 109.Molloy, 107.Donovan and their followers and taken to Ivor the Viking King of Limerick who put him to death with their connivance and because of this foul deed the 2 Heberian Eoghanacht Kings, were cursed by the Catholic clergy in the Munster Province for their involvement, but with 109.Molloy and 107.Donovan now in control the Viking Danes were then invited back into the Munster Province, and they immediately began to overrun Munster once more.

978 AD Owing to the demise of 105.Mahon the Heberian Dal gCais 39th King of Cashell / Munster, 109.Molloy / Mael Muad, who was descended from 90.mac Cass, another of the sons of 89.Conal Corc, had become the Heberian Eoghanacht Raithlind 40th King of Cashel / Munster, until he too was killed this year, by the Heberian Dal gCais Sept under 106.Murrogh / Murchad, the son of *105.Brian Boru, and nephew of 105.Mahon and with the demise of 105.Molloy this also ended his Eoghanacht Raithlind male line altogether to the Kingship of Cashel / Munster extending from 93.Aed Ualgarb the ancestor of the Ui Echach Muman Cenel nAeda Sept. Despite this 109.Molloy was to become the direct male line ancestor of the O Mahony Sept as *105.Brian Boru  arranged for 109.Molly's son, 110.Cian / Keen to marry his daughter, 106.Sadb, and their son 111.Mahon who was to become the direct male line ancestor of the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti O Mahonys.

1014 AD 105.Brian Boru - of the Tributes, a son of 104.Kennedy and a younger brother to 105.Mahon, who had become the next Heberian Dal gCais King of Northern Munster / Thomond, the 41st King of Cashel / Munster and the 175th High King of Ireland was killed at the Battle of Clontarf near Dublin this year while stopping the  intendfed Viking take over of Irelandin a conflict that lasted from Sun up to Sun down, during which 7,000 Vikings and their Southern Leinster allies were killed.

106.Dungal O Donoghue / Ua Donnchada, became the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 41a King of Cashel / Munster, who was a son of 105.Mael Fathardaig the previous 35th King of Cashel / Munster descended from 95.Fingen the Chaisil 9th King of Cashel / Munster the ancestor of the O Keeffes and the O Sullivans of Munster Province, and a brother to 95,Failbhe Fland the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 11th King of Cashel / Munster the ancestor of the Mac Carthys.

1025 AD 106.Dungal O Donoghue / Ua Donnchada the Chaisil 41a King of Cashel / Munster, died, which ended his male line also altogether to the Kingship until the rise in the future of the Mac Carthys, as the Kingship of Cashel / Munster was now to be held by 10 consecutive Dal gCais descendants of *105.Brian Boru.

1045 AD 107.Carthy / Carthach - the Loving One, the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil Prince / Tanaiste of Des Muma / Desmond / Southern Munster, and heir apparent, had been an outstanding leader against the Danish Vikings, in his own right, but he was to be burnt to death this year while taking shelter in a residence with his followers after a conflict with the Heberian Dal gCais Sept over who now had the overall authority in the Munster Province, under a son of 107.Lonergan, a grandson of 105.Donncuann, an older deceased brother of *105.Brian Boru. 107.Carthy who became the direct male line ancestor of the Clann Mheic Carrthaigh, was a son of 106.Saerbrethach the son of 105.Donough, the previous 38th King of Cashel / Munster who was son of 104.Callaghan / Cellachan the previous 34th King of Cashel / Munster. The Heberian Eoghanacht Septs had really needed a strong leader to hold onto the Kingship of Cashel / Munster, and the death of 107,Carthy was to leave a great hole for the Eoghanacht Septs to fill, as it seemed their kinsmen the O Callaghans who would be the direct descendants of 105.Donogh and his other son, 106.Morogh / Murcha, another grandson of 104.Cellachain, where not to be up to it.

108.Murray / Muireadach mac Carthy the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil King, who had been born in 1011 AD, was a son of 107.Carthy and he was to be the first to use their surname, and would die in 1092 AD and he would be succeeded by his brother, 108.Teague as the Eoghanacht Chaisil King in the Munster Province who would die in 1223 AD, and his daughter, 109.Sadhbh was to marry 108.Dermod O Brian and 3 sons, 109.Cormac, 109.Donogh and 109.Teague.

1118 AD 114.Turlough O Connor became the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai 55th King of Connacht and then became the first of their Sept descended from 90.Brion the first Heremonian Dal Cuinn King of Connacht to become the 176th King of Ireland and set about suppressing the previous rising fortunes of the Heberian Dal gCais O Brians. In the past Munster Province had been divided into Northern Munster / Thomond and Southern Munster / Desmond and this status quo was to be renewed by 114.Turlough O Connor to divide the Munster Province up between the Heberian Eoghanacht Mac Carthys, and the Heberian Dal gCais O Brians, to mainly try and further weaken the O Brians' hold over Ireland.

1123 AD 108.Teague mac Carthy the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil King died, this year after being installed by 114.Turlough O Connor as the first Mac Carthy from the Eoghanacht Chaisil Sept to be the 46c King of Cashel / Munster and the King of Desmuma / Desmond and he is also the ancestor of the Mac Auliffes, who were an important Sept of the Mac Carthys, with their main seat at Castle Mac Auliffe in Co. Cork in Southern Munster.

1138 AD 109.Cormac Magh Tamnagh Mac Carthy, the son of 108.Murray mac Carthy, who was the Bishop of Cashel, who had succeeded his uncle, as the Eoghanacht Chaisil King of Munster, and married 109.Sabdh the daughter of his uncle, 108.Teague mac Carthy, (who was the widow of 108.Dermod O Brian), and they produced among others, 110.Dermod, 110.Teague, and 110,Finghin Lic Lachtna who was killed in 1207 AD. 109.Cormac Magh Tamnach Mac Carthy the King of Desmond / Southern Munster and the Bishop of the Kings of Ireland was to be slain in treachery in his own house this year by Turlough O Brian, the son of Diarmaid O Brian, and Dermod Lughach O Connor Kerry, after he had constructed Cormac's Chapel on the Rock of Cashel in Co, Tipperary in Northern Munster. His son;

1144 AD 110.Dermod / Diarmait Mac Carthy Mor of Cill Badhaine who was born in 1098 AD was the Prince of Desmond and King of Cork was to be married twice, with his second marriage at 75 years of age to an Anglo - Norman, Petronella de Bleete / Bloet, who was to become the ancestor of the Stacks. who received extensive territory in Co. Kerry. He is also the ancestor of the Clann Teague / Tiadhg of Scairt, and was to be the first to submit to Henry 11 the Anglo - Norman King of England in 1172 AD, which alienated all of his Mac Carthy Sept and even his own children rose up against him. 111.Cormac Liathanach Mac Carthy his eldest son, was proclaimed the Eoghanacht Chaisil King of Munster in his stead by his own Mac Carthy Sept and they gathered together a great force to expel the English Galls / Foreigners who were then 110.Dermod's alliesto suite, and 110.Dermod was taken prisoner, so the Anglo - Normans then invaded Desmond. In 1177 AD, 111.Cormac Liathanach Mac Carthy was murdered by Conall and Cathal O Donoghue for previously killing Mac Craith O Sullivan, and 110.Dermod Mac Carthy Mor was released from captivity and killed all those who would not submit to him aided by Raymond Le Gross the Anglo - Norman Baron to whom he gave the territory of Clan Maurice in Co. Kerry, going against the tenets of the Brehon Law. Raymond Le Gross had a son, Maurice who is the ancestor of the Fitz Maurices the English Marquis of Lansdowne. 110.Dermod Mac Carthy had another 4 sons besides 111.Cormac Liathanach, 111.Donnell Mac Carthy, 111.Murtogh / Muircheartach Mac Carthy who was to be slain by O Driscoll in 1179 AD, 111.Teague Ruadh na Scairte - of the Bushes Mac Carthy, is the ancestor of the Ui Skerrett Sept and the Clan Teague Ruadh / Roe, and Finn, who wasalso  the Prince / Tanaiste of Desmond who was to be killed by his nephews in 1208 AD. The Mac Carthy Mor was inaugurated at Lissan na Cahir in Co. Kerry, over which O Sullivan Mor and O Donoghue Mor presided. Their Marshalls were the O Rourkes, and the Mac Egans were their Brehon Lawyers, and O Dalys and O Duinins were their poets and historians.

1185 AD 110.Dermod Mac Carthy Mor of Cill Badhaine was to be killed near the City of Cork, while attending a conference with the English Galls, by Theobold Fitz Walter, the Anglo - Norman Baron who is the direct male line ancestor of all of the Butlers
