Seanchus of Celtic Ireland - 21

There would be 2 other individual Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn Septs from out of the Midlands / Midhe / Northern Leinster who would also spread out from there, and go further to the north into Northern Leinster and the Ulster Province. This was the original territory given over by *37.Eremon, their direct male line ancestor in Ireland, to the descendants of another of his brothers, 37.Ir, who had been drowned during their expedition into Ireland from Spain, who is the direct male line ancestor of the Gaelic Milesian  Irian Septs. One of these Dal Cuinn Septs was to be known as the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn 3 Colla (Champion) Sept, which were to be founded by another 3 brothers who were to be the 3 sons of  87.Eochy / Echu Doimhlen, who was a brother to *87.Fiacha / Fiachaidh Sraibhtine the Dal Cuinn 120th King of Tara / Ireland, who were both also descended from *83.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland. The combined 3 Colla Septs would found the Dal Cuinn kingdom of Orghialla / Airghialla anglicized as Oriel in territory in Southern Ulster and also nearby in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster, gaining it also not only from the Fir Bolg, but also from their Gaelic Milesian kinsmen the Irian Ulaid Septs there. The first of 87.Eochy Doimhlen's sons was*88.Carroll / Carioll Colla Uais - the Noble who was to become the 121st King of Tara / Ireland, who would later be dethroned and become the direct male line ancestor of the Dal Cuinn Colla Uais Sept. Another of these 3 sons, 88.Mean Colla Mend - the Famous was to be killed during their initial expedition into Southern Ulster, but was still to become the direct male line ancestor of the Mugdorna Sept there. The other brother, 88.Murray / Muireadach Colla Da Crioch / Fro Crith of the Two Countries was to have the most overall affect there as he is the direct male line ancestor of the Airthir Septs and the Ui Cremthainn Septs there, and he would be represented in more modern times by the Mac Mahons in the south - east and the Maguires in the  south - west of the Ulster Province. Their father, 87.Eochy Doimhlen, in his own right had previously secured territory in the east of the Connacht Province that would be then taken over later on and expanded on by the previously mentioned 89.Maine Mor the direct male line ancestor of the Dal Cuinn Ui Maine Sept there in Connacht who was a brother to *89.Eochy Mugmedon the 124th King of Tara / Ireland.

The other Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn Sept of even greater importance who was to eventually also take over the Ulster Province altogether, was to be also descended from *89.Eochy Mugmedon the previously mentioned 124th King of Tara / Ireland. They would become known as the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill who would be descended from one of his 5 sons,*90.Niall of the Nine Hostages who would become the 126th King of Tara / Ireland who would also be the direct male line ancestor of all of the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Septs in Meath besides the northern Ui Niaill Septs in Ulster. In the 5th Century AD, 5 of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages, would become the direct male line ancestors of the southern Ui Niaill who were to have their territories mostly still in the Midlands / Midhe / Northern Leinster. *90.Niall's other 3 sons, 91.Eogan, 91.Conall Gulban and 91.Enda were to be the direct male line ancestors of the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill who were to at first gain further new territory for the Dal Cuinn also in the far north and the west of Ulster, and their northern Ui Niaill descendants were to then eventually secure the whole of the Ulster Province as the Mac Loughlins and O Neills much later on. The northern Ui Niall Cenel nEogain Sept who are descended from 91.Eogan were to become the Kings of Ailech, the Kings of Tyrone, and the Kings of Ireland eventually culminating in the Mac Loughlins and O Neills. while their other northern kinsmen, the northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill descended from 91.Conall Gulban would become the Kings of Tyrconnell, and early on also the Kings of Ireland, culminating in the O Donnells. Their other brother, 91.Enda would produce the Ui Endae Sept whose territory was between that of these other 2 northern brothers, which would be absorbed into the families of both these northern Ui Niaill brothers. Despite the combined Heremonian Dal Cuinn expansion there in Ulster, up until the 9th Century AD they were not able to completely gain control over the two Septs of the Gaelic Milesian Irian Dal nAraide and the Heremonian Dal Fiatach in Ulaid whose territory there was along the east coast of Ulster in the kingdom of Ulidia. (Ulster - the Land of the Ulaid.) The Dal Fiatach aristocratic warrior Sept there founded by Fiacha Fionn mac Daire who had been the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh 104th King of Tara / Ireland had been based originally on the Scythian Nemedian Fir Bolg there who had been driven out of Southern Ireland, while the Irian Dal nAraide aristocratic warrior Sept had been based on the Scythian Cruthin Picts there, which also took in their sub - Sept the aristocratic warrior Irian Ui Echach Cobo Sept there.  Eventually, much later on, the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain were to gain the overall overlordship of the eastern territory of the Ulaid Septs there, and also that of their own Dal Cuinn 3 Colla kinsmen in the south of there, along with the Dal Fiatach and finally declare themselves the Kings of Ulster.

*92.Felim / Feidhlimidh, the previously mentioned 108th King of Tara / Ireland, who was the direct male line ancestor of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Septs, had been the father of *83.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland who was the direct male line ancestor of all of the Dal Cuinn Septs. Of his other 2 sons, 83.Fiacha Suighdhe became the direct male line ancestor of the Deisi Septs who had their territory also originally in Midhe / Meath / Northern Leinster and later on in Co, Waterford in the Munster Province when they were also driven out of Meath due to a conflict over sovereignty. They were to then go over into Wales, but were also driven out of there when the Romans sent a force of Fir Bolg Septs down from the Hadrian's Wall to carry this out, (who then became the Welsh warrior aristocracy) and the Deisi then returned to Co. Waterford. His other son, 83.Eochy / Eochaidh Find Fuath nAirtt became the direct male line ancestor of the Fotharta Septs further down in Co. Wexford and Co. Carlow in the south of Southern Leinster where they became a subject Sept also of the previously mentioned Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Septs there.

The 2 Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Septs also previously mentioned earlier who were descended directly from *37.Eremon, through his descendant, *59.Ugaine Mor - the Great, the 66th King of Tara / Ireland, and then through his other son, *60.Leary / Laoghaire Lorc who had been the 68th King of Tara / Erinn, the direct male line ancestor of the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire / Leary Septs, would be forced out of the south of the Midlands / Northern Leinster by their close expanding kinsmen the Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn Septs, further down into Southern Leinster. There they would subject the various Fir Bolg Laigin Celts in Southern Leinster and rule there in their own right as individual Ui Laoghaire / Leary Septs. The most important of these 2 was to produce the majority of the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Kings, descending from one of *60.Leary's descendants, 78.Lewy / Lughaidh (Ui Lughaidh.) The other Sept would also take over the territory there in the previous Fir Bolg kingdom in the south - west of Southern Leinster, which would become the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla kingdom of Ossory / Osraighe there on the eastern border of the Munster Province. (The Ui Connla Sept would be descended from 78.Lewy's brother, 78.Connla). All of this territory previously in Eber's Half - Mogha's Half in what is now Southern Leinster before the end of the 2nd Century AD, had been previously under the control of the Heberian descendants of *37.Eber Fionn, the brother to *37.Eremon, who is the direct male line ancestor of the Heberian Septs. Southern Leinster in Mogha's Half had previously been under  the control of  83.Mogha Nuadhat the Heberian King, but had been lost in the 2nd Century AD to *83.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland after he was to slay 83.Mogha during a conflict over the port of Dublin in the north - east there and gain control also over the territory in what is now Southern Leinster, joining it to Northern Leinster.

Another Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Sept of great importance was another combined Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Cairbre Septs who were also descended from 3 other brothers who were descended from *37.Eremon, *59.Ugaine Mor the 66th King of Tara / Ireland, *60.Coffey / Cobthach the 69th King of Tara / Ireland and then through *69.Conaire 11 the 111th King of Tara / Ireland (Ui Conaire)and 84.Saraid, another daughter of *83.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland. (They would produce the Muscraige, the Earna, the Corco Duibne, and the Dal Riada Septs). One of their 3 sons, 70.Eochy / Eochaidh / 70.Cairbre Riada, was to be the ancestor of the Septs in the kingdom of Dal Riada / riata in Co. Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province after securing the territory there from the Scythian Cruthin Picts during a Drought in the Munster Province. The Dal Riada Sept was to then expand their particular kingdom across the Irish Sea into Alba / Albany in the Scottish Highlands, after the term Scottii / Irishmen (The People of Scotia.) His son, 71.Erc was to initially set up the kingdom of Dal Riada in the north of Co. Antrim, after they had left their Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire territory in the Munster Province in the south of Ireland due to a severe Drought to seek greener pastures in the far - north of Ulster. Later in the very early 6th Century AD it was to be then extended back into territory over in Alba / Scottish Highlands, which they had previously gained earlier on when they went to the north originally, but had been driven out of there then by the Scythian Cruthin Gaelic Picts / Caledonians. They were to reclaim it back again under 71.Erc’s 3 three sons, 72.Fergus, 72.Loarn and 72.Angus and the territory there later became known as Argyle (The Land of the Gael) and Albany from Alba. Another 2 of *69.Conaire 11's 3 sons, was 70.Cairbre Musc the direct male line ancestor of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Muscraige Septs in the Munster Province, and 70.Cairbre Baschaoin the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Muscraige Earna Septs also in the Munster Province.

The Heremonian Septs, descended from *37.Eremon, would continue to grow in strength and rule over Ireland until the coming of the Teutonic Scandinavian Vikings when there was to be a total disruption to the Irish Brehon Law. which then truly made Irish Law the "The survival of the fittest," and eventually set the whole of Ireland up for the Anglo - Norman English Invasion in the future in the 12th Century AD and the 850 years of total ethnic and religious oppression that lie ahead.

Prior to this occurring, *105.Brian Boru / Boroimhe - of the Tributes in 1004 AD, who was to be by then the Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough 41st King of Cashel / Munster was to remove the Heremonians from their exalted position in Ireland, and become the 175th (High) King of Ireland descended originally in Ireland from *37.Eber Fionn, (Heberians) the older brother of *37.Eremon (Heremonians) and to 37.Ir (Irians) (These 3 sons of 36.Mil had become the main direct male line ancestors of the Gaelic Milesian Septs in the whole of Ireland). 37.Eber Fionn - of Fair Complexion his oldest surviving son had become the direct male line ancestor of all the Gaelic Milesian Heberians in the south of Ireland / Heber's Half, who had by *105.Brian Boru's time evolved further into 3 main Heberian aristocratic warrior Septs who were also from 3 of the sons of 84.Ailill Oluimm the Heberian 1st King of Munster and 84.Sadbh, another daughter of *83.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland) The oldest son, 85.Eoghan Mor - the Greater is the direct male line ancestor of the Eoghanachta (The People of 85.Eoghan) who had their territory in Southern Munster and who were to produce the majority of the Kings of Cashel / Munster. His younger brother, 85.Cormac Cass - of the Curly Hair is the direct male line ancestor of the Heberian Dal gCais / Dalcassians descended from his descendant 91.Cas - of the Curly Hair the King of Thomond who had his territory in Tuaisceart Mhumhain / Northern Munster). His other surviving son, 85.Cian became the the direct male line ancestor of the Cianacht Septs who had territories in their various individual kingdoms in Meath in Northern Leinster, Munster Province, Connacht Province and Ulster Province.

*105.Brian Boru due to the previous rupture to the Irish Brehon Law by the 200 years of Viking incursions, during that period in time was to gain the upper hand in Ireland for 10 years until 1014 AD when he was to lead his combined forces against the invading Vikings and their inter - married allies the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Sept in Southern Leinster in the Battle of Clontarf. (This great conflict was to occur within the vicinity of the Liffey River near Dublin in Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster). His opponents were to be a massive Viking force who were to land in Ireland to try and completely take over, and 7,000 Vikings and their Irish Southern Leinster allies were to be slain during the bloody conflict, which was to last from Sun - up to Sun - down, and although victorious *105.Brian Boru. his son, 106.Murrough / Murchad and his grandson, 107.Turlough O Brian were to also be killed.
