                                                                                                                                                                                   791 - 800 AD

102.Artgal the previous Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Siol Cathail 30th King of Connacht, who had abdicated in 782 AD, died, who was one of the 4 sons of 101.Cathal the 23rd King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Cathail Sept, one of the 2 sons of 100.Murray / Muireadach Muillethan the 18th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray) Sept who was a son of 98.Reilly / Raghallach the 12th King of Connacht the direct ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Sept. 102.Artgal's son, 103.Kenneth / Cinaed was to become the future 30b King of Connacht).

792 AD *101.Donough / Donnchad Midi the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 163rd King of Ireland, died at 64 years of age, after ruling for 27 years, who was a son of *100.Donnell / Domhnall Midi - of Meath the previous Gaelic Milesian 161st King of Ireland who had been the first from the Clann Cholmain Sept to be a King of Ireland and his male line was to be carried forward by 2 of his sons, 102.Conor / Conchobar who would be the Gaelic Milesian 165th King of Ireland, and especially 102.Mulrooney / Mael Ruanaid.

103.Kenneth / Cinaed the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Siol Cathail 30b King of Connacht, was killed in battle at Sruth Cluain Argai (Cloonargid) in Co. Roscommon in the east of the Connacht Province by his kinsman, 104.Maurice / Muirgius, the son of 103.Tomaltach, who was also from the Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Sept, descended from 101.Indrechtach the previous 21st King of Connacht who had also been a brother to 101.Cathal the 23rd King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of 103.Kenneth. (This was see the end of his particular male line from the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai to the Kingship.

104.Maurice / Muirgius became the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 31st King of Connacht, who was a son of 103.Tomaltach, a son of 102.Murgal, one of the 4 sons of 101.Indrechtach the previous 21st King of Connacht, one of the 2 sons of 100.Murray / Muireadach the 18th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Siol Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray) Sept, the son of 98.Reilly / Raghallach the 12th King of Connacht the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Septs.

The Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Ailello Sept, descended from 90.Ailill, one of the 5 sons of *89.Eochy / Eochaidh Mugmedon the previous Gaelic Milesian 124th King of Tara / Ireland who were originally among the 3 Connachta, emanating from 3 of his sons, 90.Ailill (Ui Ailello), 90.Brion (Ui Briuin) and 90.Fiachra (Ui Fiachrach), now disappear altogether as an important individual Sept after another battle involving them and their kinsmen the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Sept occurred at Ard mheic Rime and during this particular conflict, Cathmug, the son of Flaherty / Flaithbertach the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Cenel Cairpre King, descended from 91.Coirpre / Cairpre another of the 8 sons of their half - brother 90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages, and Cormac Dub Da Chrich the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Breifne King of Breifne, who was to be the first Ui Briuin Breifne King ever noted, were killed.

793 AD The Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Muscraige Corco Duibne King who had his territory in Southern Munster was killed at the Battle of Conchen.

105.Maurice / Muirgius the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 31st King of Connacht and Ailclobur the Abbot of Roscommon now imposed the Law of St. Comman of Roscommon / Ros Comain (St. Coman's Wood) on the 3 Connachta Septs in the Connacht Province.

The beginning of the Norse Viking raiders who were not Danish, and they began by attacking the defenceless Lindisfarne Abbey on the eastern side of England while the Vikings at Glamorganshire in Wales would begin to invade Ireland during the reign of *100.Aed Oirdnide the Gaelic Milesian 164th King of Ireland.

793 - 817 AD *100.Aed Oirdnide - the Dignified / the Ordained) the 21st King of Ailech, who had his territory in the north of the Ulster Province, was the Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 164th King of Ireland, who was a son of *99.Niall Frossach - of the Showers the previous Gaelic Milesian 162nd King of Ireland, one of the 2 sons of *98.Fergal mac Maele Duin the Gaelic Milesian 156th King of Ireland and the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Niaill from now on were to feel the pressure brought on by the Norsemen / Viking raiders, which was to also undermine their previous burgeoning overall authority in Ireland.

794 AD The authority of the Heberian Eoghanacht Locha Lein Sept was now also in decline, and their over kingdom of West Munster / Iar Mumu was also being removed from their subjection, which took in an area much bigger then Co. Kerry and the west of Co. Cork, as it had previously also encompassed Corcomroe / Corcom Ruadh in the north - west of Co. Clare taking in their kinsmen the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti Sept and their subject Septs in Co. Limerick and the overlordship of the Heberian Eoghanacht Raithlind Sept also dissolved, as the subject tribes in the west switched their allegiance to the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil on the Septs Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province. The territory of the In Deis Tuaiscirt / Dal gCais Sept in the east of Co. Clare near the River Shannon was not included, and this meant that the Heberian Dal gCais could still increase their territory of Thomond / Northern Munster with the weakening of the Eoghanacht Locha Lein Septs grip on Co. Limerick and in the west of Co. Clare. During the 8th Century AD also the authority of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn kingdom based on the "southern" Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept in the south of the Connacht Province, which in reality was adjacent to the Dal gCais territory in Co. Clare, had also declined.

Caithnia, a son of Guaire, who was the Abbot of Tomgrainey in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province, and therefore associated with the Heberian Dal gCais Sept, died this year.

The Scandinavian Vikings now raided Jarrow Abbey in England after travelling up the Tyne River.

795 AD The Scandinavian Vikings who were to eventually be composed of both Norwegian and Danish Teutonics began their first recorded raids into Ireland itself by attacking Lambey Island in Dublin Bay on the north coast of Co. Dublin in Southern Leinster to Winter over, and also the Holy island of Iona of 94.St. Columbcille / St. Columba situated between Ireland and Alba / Scottish Highlands. While on Iona the monks of 94.St. Columbcille were to produce, what is now known as the Book of Kells, which is noted as the Most Beautiful Book in the World, which due to the Viking raids was to be eventually taken to the mainland to Kells / Ceanannus Mor to save it from destruction. The Vikings also carried out raids on Rathlin Island in the far - north - east off the coast of the mainland above Co. Antrim in the Ulster Province, and another two islands on the western north coast of Ireland in the Atlantic Ocean, namely Inish Murray off of the mainland near Bundoran in Co. Donegal in Western Ulster, and Inish Boffin off of the mainland near Clifden in Co. Galway in the mid - west of the Connacht Province. Like all Celtic Septs, Ireland at this time was made up of many separate individual kingdoms and had no real overall unity or a desire for any overall sovereignty at all, although the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Niaill Septs claimed to be the overall High Kings of Tara, this position really did not exist in Celtic culture. As the Viking attacks were to further increase it was to bring about the construction of many round towers all over Ireland, some of them up to 100 feet high with doorways 10' to 26' or more up in the walls with ladder access only, to allow the monks to hide away from them and any other such raiders. These towers also came to be used as Belfries / Cloic Theach. Due to the Irish Celts living further inland the Danish and Norwegian Vikings would eventually be able to settle along the coast line of the Leinster Province and the Munster Province.

102.Bran Ardchenn the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muireadhaigh 21st King of Leinster, along with his wife 102.Eithne, were burnt to death at Cell Cuile Dumai near Stradbally in Leix / Co. Laois in the mid - west of Southern Leinster by his kinsman, 103.Finsnechta Cetharderc - of the Four Eyes who was from the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada Sept. 102.Bran Ardchenn had been one of the sons of 101.Murray / Muireadach the previous 18th King of Leinster who is the direct male line ancestor of the Cu Corb Ui Muireadhaigh Sept. His male line was to be continued on through his 2 sons, 103.Kelly / Ceallach who would become the future 24th King of Leinster, and especially through his other son also, 103.Murray / Muireadach.

796 AD 101.Colla the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh Siol Ceallaig who was the 31a King of Connacht, died, who was a son of 100.Fergus the previous 25th King of Connacht, one of the 2 sons of 99.Kelly / Ceallach the 19th King of Connacht, one of the 3 sons of 98.Reilly / Raghallach who had been the 12th King of Connacht who is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Sept. This was to see the end of the Siol Ceallaig male line through him to the Kingship.

796 / 797 AD 101.Olchobur from the Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti Ui Chonaill Gabra Sept, died, who may have been / or not have been, the 20b King of Cashell / Munster, who was one of the 2 sons of 100.Flann the Ui Fidgeinti King, descended from 93.Conall the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Chonaill Gabra Sept, who was descended from 89.Fiachu Fidgennid the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Fidgeinti Sept, a son of 88.Maine Munchain, one of the 3 sons of 87.Ailill Fland Bec, whose father had been 86.Fiachu Muillethan, the son of 85.Eoghan Mor (Eoghanachta). 101.Olchobur was also the Abbot of Innes Cathaig / Scattery Island in Co. Clare and he had been the beginning and the end of their particular male line to the Munster Kingship, if at all).

104.Maurice / Muirgius the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ui Muireadhaigh 31st King of Connacht was defeated at the battle at Ath Fene on the northern border of the Ciarraige Ai Sept in his own territory in the Connacht Province.

The Scandinavian Vikings attacked the Holy Island  of Iona again and returned to Norway.

797 AD AD Fergal / Fearghal, a son of Anmchaid, died this year, who was the Heremonian Ui Connla King of Ossory who had his territory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster.

At this time the Cele De / Culdees (Clients of God) who were a reformist religious sect under their Abbot Mael Ruin had their main house or monastery at Tallaght and Finglas, on both sides of the River Liffey in Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster, where they lived by very strict rules, including prayer, rigid fasting, penances and castigation.

During this Century the expansion of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Breifne Sept into further territory in the Connacht Province were to cut off the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill territory of the Cenel nArdgail Sept, who had been descended from 92.Ardgal, one of the 2 sons of 91.Conall Cremthainne, one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages, from the other Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill territories in the Midlands / Meath / Northern Leinster region. 91.Conall Cremthainne was also the direct male line ancestor of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain Sept who on the other hand would continue to grow stronger also providing the future Kings of Ireland.

The most important Heberian Eoghanacht branch now was the Heberian Chaisil Sept, whose territory was situated around the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province, and by now they had no claim to the Kingship of Ireland, and were kinsmen to the Eoghanacht Airthir Chliach Sept who were situated on the western borders of Co. Tipperary and controlled the church there at Emly were their patron was St. Ailbhe. They were also kinsmen to the Eoghanacht Glendamnach Sept who were also powerful who had their territory in the south west on the River Blackwater at Fermoy near the village of Glanworth. Their other kinsmen the Eoghanacht Aine Sept was at Knockaine / Cnoc Aine in Co. Limerick, were also neighbours to the Eoghanacht Airthir Chliach Sept in the Golden Vale. Desmond / Southern Munster / Des Mhumhain was the territory of another of their Septs, the Eoghanacht Raithlind Sept in the Lee Valley under their ruling Sept of the Ui Echach Muman who were also divided into 2 more Septs the Ui Loegaire Sept who had their territory to the west, and the Cenel nAeda Sept who had their territory in the Barony of Kinalea between Cork and Kinsale. (The neighbouring Barony of Kinelmeaky derives it's name from one of their Septs the Cenel mBecce). Far west in Iar Mumu or Iar Luachair to the west of Mount Barrier / Sliab Luachra, between Co. Cork, Co. Kerry and Co. Limerick were the Eoghanachta Locha Lein Sept at Killarney who were now in the decline. All of these Septs and the Eogh - Des Septs were descended initially from 85.Eoghan Mor, who had been the oldest son of 84.Ailill Oluimm, the 1st King of Munster, whose father had been 85.Mogha / Mug Nuadhat the Heberian King of Mogha's Half / Leth Mogha, descended from *37.Eber Fionn. By this time the majority of the Heberian Eoghanacht Septs descended from 85.Eoghan Mor were mostly confined to the descendents of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster who had founded the Chaisil Septs on the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of Northern Munster in the early 5th Century AD.

The Heberian Eoghanacht Ui Fidgeinti Sept and the Ui Liathain Sept, who were also from the Eoghanachta, were not descended from 89.Conal Corc. but from 88.Maine Munchain the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Fidgeinti Sept who was also known as / or was a twin of 88.Daire Cerbba recorded as the direct male ancestor of the Ui Duach Argetrois and Ui Liathain Septs. They / or he was an uncle / or uncles of 89.Conall Corc. The Ui Fidgeinti Sept who had their territory in the west of Co. Limerick and the Ui Liathain Sept were cut off from one another by the Fir Maige Fene Sept at Fermoy in Co. Cork who were a hostile non - Eoghanacht Sept. Of the two the Ui Liathain Sept was given precedence, as their territory around Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province was originally given to them by a King of Cashel / Munster and they were therefore the most important as 91.Bressal mac Ailello Thassaig, who was a grandson of  89.Eochy / Echu Liathain, a son of 88.Daire Cerbba, had been a King of Cashel / Munster and he had decreed the Kingship of Cashel / Munster with Desmond / Southern Munster under the Eoghanacht Raithlind King. Despite this the Ui Fidgeinti Sept had only produced the one claimant to the Kingship of Cashel / Munster in 101.Olchobur mac Flainn an Abbot of Inis Cathaig / Scattery Island. (besides this the Ui Fidgeinti Sept and the Ui Liathain Sept were based on the Gaelic Ithian Dairine Sept similar to the Gaelic Ithian Corco Loigde Sept who had their territory in Southern Munster, and were therefore seemingly only attached to the Eoghanachta.

The Deis Sept however were 2 dynasties together as one, of the 3 Eoghanachta of Munster Province, along with the Eoghanachta Raithlind Sept and the Eoghanacht Locha Lein Sept, making 7 Heberian Eoghanachta Septs in total, the Aine, the Airthir Chliach who were a separate dynasty, the Arann / Ninussa (Aran Islands and the Burren nearby), the Chaisil, the Glendamnach, the Locha Lein, the Raithlind, and the Ruis Argait in oblivion.

Originally there was the Heberian Eoghanacht Chathbad Chuille Sept who were also not descended from 89.Conal Corc, but from his brother, 89.Cathbad / Cathub through his son, 90.Ailill who had been baptised by St. Patrick at Ochtar Cuillend in Ui Chuanach (Cullen) on the Co. Limerick, Co. Tipperary border, who was at that time the Chathbad Chuille King. They were later to be replaced by the Eoghanacht Airthir Chliach Sept descended from 93.Criffan / Crimthann, one of the 2 sons of 93.Eochy / Eochaidh the Chaisil 4th King of Cashel / Munster, who was a descendant of 89.Conall Corc, who did not exist before the 5th Century AD.  89.Conal Corc's other brother, 89.Lewy / Lughaidh was also the direct male line ancestor of the Eoghanacht Ui Lugdech Eile Sept.

Prior to 84.Ailill Oluimm, the father of 85.Eoghan Mor, becoming the Gaelic Milesian Heberian 1st King of Munster the Heberians were then known as the Heberian Deirgtine Sept who had shared the Kingship in the south with the Gaelic Ithian Sept known then as the Ithian Dairine / Darinian Sept who were represented by the Corco Loigde Sept (The People of 58.Lughaidh / Loigde) as the Deirgtine who were Brehon and the Dairine Tanaise Rig. The In Deis Tuaiscirt Sept and the Deis Deisairt Sept had alternated the Kingship in their part of Deis Becc, and the kingdom of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster, adjoining the Munster Province, had once also been ruled by the Corco Loigde Kings and it was also once a part of what became Mogha's Half / Leth Mogha prior to *83.Conn- of the Hundred Battles the Gaelic Milesian 110th King of Tara / Ireland joining Southern Leinster in with the Midlands / Midhe / Northern Leinster.

The Heberian Cianachta Eli Sept, descended from 85.Cian, another of the sons of 84.Ailill Oluimm had their territory in the north - east of Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster, and the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Deisi Sept had their territory in the south - east, where the Deis Bec Sept who were descended from 85.Cormac Cass - of the Curly Hair the second son of 84.Ailill Oluimm, who were then under the leadership of 89.Lewy / Lughaidh Men - of the Irish Sea in 315 AD, had secured further territory in the north - west of Thomond / Northern Munster from across the River Shannon in Southern Connacht where they later became the Dal gCais Sept, descended from his grandson, 91.Cas. In the 5th Century AD the territory in Eli was also gained by the men of Munster from the Celtic Septs who were then there, who were also receiving pressure from the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Septs to the north in Midhe / Meath in Northern Leinster. The In Deis Tuaiscirt Sept had lost their lands to the south of the River Shannon and were confined to the east of Co. Clare were they were to eventually emerge as the aristocratic warrior Heberian Dal gCais / Dalcassian Septs gaining the upper hand over the Viking Danes, the Ui Fidgeinti Sept and the other various Heberian Eoghanacht Septs there.

798 AD The Vikings carried out a raid this year on the Isle of Man and the Hebrides in Scotland, and  St. Patrick's Island in the Irish Sea off of the coast of Drogheda / Droichead Atha (The Bridge of the Ford) in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster.

Aengus / Oengus from the Cele De (Clients of God) reforming religious order produced the Felire Oengussa at Tallaght / Tamhlacht in Co. Dublin and the Cluain Eidhnech in Co. Laois in the mid - west of Southern Leinster.

799 AD The Heremonian Dal Cuinn 3 Connachta Septs in the Connacht Province went into battle against each other at Dun Gainiba to find out who had the actual overall authority now in Connacht, and many of their Dal Cuinn Princes / Tanaistes were slain, but 104.Maurice / Muirgius the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 31st King of Connacht was to come out of it victorious, and he now made Connacht a combined power to be reckoned with.

Gormgal the Abbot of Armagh imposed the Law of Patrick (Lex Patricii) Cain Phatraic at first onto the Connacht Province, and then eventually all over Ireland, to promote peace, which somehow became a tribute for secular interests. The Abbots chosen for the monasteries were to be from the same lineage as the founder, with later Abbots also marrying and not taking up holy orders, and then passing on their office to their sons by hereditary succession. (Over time this practise became quite common, and quarrels eventually occurred between the different lineages. The Irish Kings in their scramble for overall power, due to the incessant Viking attacks. were to break with their Celtic traditions as the Brehon Law from now on was to come under greater stress. The aristocracy had their clients / Celi, while the men of art / Aos Dana were the learned men, which included the clergy, and the term in use for the overlord of the minor Kingships was Tigerna / Tuisech (Lord).
