RAINBOW FARMS AUSTRALIA
7th Century AD - Septs & Provinces
Ulster Province (The Land of the Ulaid): At this time the Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Muscraige Dal Riada / riata Sept, descended from 70.Cairbre aka 70.Eochaidh Riada were still also in Co. Antrim in the north - east of Ulster Province, with the Celtic Eilni Sept further inland below them. The Celtic Gaelic Milesian Irian Dal nAraidi aristocratic warrior Sept whose kingdom was based on the Scythian Cruthin Septs there in the Uster Province whose aristocratic warriors were now descended from 90.Crond Ba Drui and his son, *91.Coelub who had been the Gaelic Milesian Irian 123rd King of Ireland, were further south near Larne, with their sub - Sept the Irian Ui Echach Cobo Sept descended on the direct male line from 91.Eochy / Echu, another of his sons, who had their territory below them in the west of Co. Down in the south - east of Ulster. The most dominant Sept in Ulster at this time was the Heremonian Dal Fiatach Sept descended now from 90.Forgg mac Dallain whose territory was around Belfast in Co. Antrim. The Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn Septs from the "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill, the Cenel nEogain and the Cenel Endae, descended from 3 of *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages 8 sons, namely 91.Conall Gulban, 91.Eogan and 91.Enda were continuing to expand their territory also further into Co. Derry in the north of Ulster and also into Co. Tyrone in Central Ulster. The Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Thuirtri Sept were in the centre behind Loch Neagh, and the the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla Ui Mocha Uais Sept were below them, but were further to the west. The Heremonian Dal Cuinn 3 Colla kingdom of Orghialla / Airghialla / Oriel whose Septs were descended from 87.Eochy Doimhlen and his 3 sons, the 3 Collas / Champions were below them in the centre, opposite to the Irian Dal nAraidi Ui Echach Cobo Sept who were further to the east. In the centre of and below these two Septs were the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla da Crioch Airthir Sept with their kinsmen the Colla Da Crioch Conaille Muirthemne Sept on the coast below the Ui Echach Cobo Sept. The Celtic Dartraige Sept were near Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh in the south - west of Ulster.
Connacht Province (The People of *83.Conn): The Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn 3 Connachta Tuatha / Family regions had by now also produced their 2 more predominant Septs, the Ui Briuin Septs who were descended from 90.Brion the original first Dal Cuinn King of Connacht, and the Ui Fiachrach Septs descended from his brother, 90.Fiachra who had been the second Dal Cuinn King of Connacht, and both of these had been two of the 3 half - brothers to *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages the previous Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Dal Cuinn 126th King of Tara / Ireland. and both of these two particular Septs were by now becoming even more dominant in Connacht. The Sept from their other brother, 90.Ailill that had made up the 3 Connachta was being slowly absorbed into theirs. The Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Niaill Cairpre Droma Cliab Sept descended from 91.Cairpre, another of the 8 sons of their half - brother, *90.NIall - of the Nine Hostages also had territory on the north - west coast near Co. Sligo in Connacht. The Celtic Calraige Sept were below the Celtic Dartraige Sept, and the particulat Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Fiachrach Sept that was descended from 90.Fiachra were near Ballina, with the Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heberian Cianachta Luigne Sept, who were also an aristocratic warrior Sept descended from 85.Cian, situated below them and had their territory in between the Ui Fiachrach Sept and the Calraige Sept. The Heberian Cianachta Gailenga Sept who were another aristocratic warrior Sept descended from 85.Cian was directly below them, and the Celtic Gaelic Milesian Irian Conmaicne Sept were still in the centre of Ireland opposite, and situated also in the centre were the Gailenga Septs who also had territory there but to the east of them. The Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ui Mall Sept, descended also from 90.Brion, who were to eventually culminate in the O Malleys, were near Westport on the west coast, with the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Fiachrach Fir Chera Sept descended also from his brother, 90.Fiachra through another of his sons, 91.mac Ercae, were further inland near Castlebar, with the main Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Sept in the centre of Ireland also directly opposite to them. The Celtic Heremonian Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Maine Septs were also in Connacht with Athlone to the west, opposite the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Cairpre Sept, with the main Gaelic Milesian Irian Conmaicne Sept also in the far - west of Connacht between Clifden on the coast and Tuam in Co. Galway further inland. Meanwhile the Heremonian Dal Cuinn "southern" Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept, who were to go into decline and were once predominant and also descended from 90.Fiachra, had what was left of their territory in the south - west in Co. Galway.
The Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Septs of Connacht, descending from 90.Brion, were to play no part in the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Kingship of Ireland in the forseeable future as their fortunes were to decline further in this regard during the following Century, while their Heremonian Dal Cuinn kinsmen the Dal Cuinn Ui Niaill dynasties of those Septs descending from his half - brother, *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages the previous Gaelic Milesian 126th King of Tara / Ireland were to grow stronger. The newly won territories of the "southern" Ui Niaill in the Midland / Midhe / Meath Province had now been shared out among 5 of the 8 sons of *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages. Of these 91.Conall Cremthainne's son, 92.Fergus Cerball / Carroll had been the father of, *93.Diarmait mac Carroll / Cerbaill who had his "southern" Ui Niaill territory in Slane in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster were he had become the Gaelic Milesian "southern" Ui Niaill 133rd King of Tara / Ireland due to circumstances beyond his control. Both his grandfather, 91.Conall Cremthainne and his father, 92.Fergus Cerball had never gained any real distinction in their own right up until his time under the Gaelic Derbh Fhine / True Family aristocratic warrior succession. Their aristocratic warrior male line had previously been in big trouble, and it could have easily become extinct, as their only claim to fame up until *93.Diarmait mac Carroll was that his uncle, 92.Ardgal, a brother to 92.Fergus Cerball, had become the direct male line ancestor of the Cenel nArdgail Sept. Despite this lack lustre start *93.Diarmait mac Carroll's direct male line was to indefinitely continue to be among the future Kings of Ireland, with 2 of their "southern" Ui Niaill Septs, the Siol nAedo Slaine and the Clann Cholmain, emanating through him. The Siol nAedo Slaine were to be directly descended from his younger son, *94.Aed Slaine, and the Clann Cholmain from his older half- brother, 94.Colman Mor. *93.Diarmait's mac Carroll's other son, 94.Colman Bec who had become the direct male line ancestor of the Caille Follamain Sept was not to produce any "southern" Ui Niaill Kings of Ireland.

Westmeath and Brega / Co. Meath especially, where 2 of their Septs, the previously mentioned Clann Cholmain and the Siol nAedo Slaine had become the most dominant descending from 90.Conaill Cremthainne one of 5 "southern" sons of the 8 sons of *90.Niall - of the Nine Hostages. The Cairpre Gabhra Sept who was also descended from 91.Cairpre / Cairbre, had been one of these 5 sons of *90.Niall, that had their territory in the north - west, but were well inland from the Siol nAedo Slaine Sept descended from their Heremonian kinsman, *94.Aed Slaine, who was also descended from 91.Conall Cremthainne, who had their territory further to the east near Drogheda in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster. The territory surrounding Tethbae was to the west below them slightly, while the Cairpre Gabhra Sept were around Mullingar in Co. Westmeath in the north - west of Northern Leinster, nearby their close kinsmen the Clann Cholmain Sept, descended from 91.Colman Mor, the older half - brother to *94.Aed Slaine, were below Tethbae and the Siol nAedo Slaine Sept, which was all by now "southern" Ui Niaill territory.

He was a brother to 94.Dowling / Dunlaing the direct male line ancestor of what was to be the most dominant Cu Corb Sept, the Ui Dunlainge, who would produce many of the Kings of Leinster, whose territory was further inland below their Cu Corb Ui Faelain Sept who are descended from his descendant, 99.Faelan whose territory was further up and towards the east. 92.Bressal Belach's other son of importance was 93.Labraid Laidech who was to produce 3 aristocratic warrior sons of importance himself, 94.Dron the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Drona Sept whose territory was further inland, 94.Daig the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Dego Sept, and the most important of all 94.Enda / Enna Cennsalach / Cinsella who became the Cu Corb 2nd King of Leinster and the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Cheinnselaig / Kinsellagh / Kinseela / Kingsley Sept who would continue to also produce the future Kings of Leinster right up until the coming of the Anglo - Norman English Invasion. The Celtic Gaelic Milesian Irian Ui Loigis Sept who became a tributary Sept in Southern Leinster had their territory below the Cu Corb Ui Bairrche Sept, who were still in a strong position, situated in between the 2 Irian Ui Loigis Septs. The Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Muscraige Tire Septs who had their territory near Birr, were further inland, in Co. South Western Leinster: The Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla aristocratic warrior kingdom of Ossory of the Osraige Sept was in the south - west, on the border of Southern Leinster and the Munster Province where it was based originally on the previous Fir Bolg kingdom there situated below the Gaelic Milesian Irian Ui Loigis Sept, but higher up than the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Drona Sept who were further to the west, above Nenagh. The Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla Kings of Ossory were descended from 78.Connla, a brother to 78.Lewy / Lughaidh the direct male line ancestor of the 86.Cu Corb Septs, and was therefore also a descendant of *60.Leary / Laoghaire Lorc who had been the Gaelic Milesian 68th King of Tara / Ireland and his father *59.Ugaine Mor - the Great the 66th King of Tara / Ireland, and threfore a brother to *60.Coffey / Cobthach Caol Breagh who is the direct male line ancestor of the Heremonian Dal Cuinn, the Deisi, the Fortuath, the Muscraige and the Dal Riada Septs.

the
Gaelic Milesian
Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh

and the father also of *83.Conn - of the Hundred
Battles, had their territory in the east around

male line ancestor of the Eoghanachta (People of
85.Eoghan)

Co. Limerick. (St.
Senan who
was on Scattery Island
/ Innis Cathaigh
in
Co.
Clare
could trace his
genealogy back 1600 years).
Southern Munster: The Eoghanachta Septs descended from the Heberian older brother, 85.Eoghan Mor, were widespread in Munster Province and would eventually push further south into the east of Co. Kerry and Co. Cork where they were to overtake the Gaelic Ithian Corca Loigde aristocratic warrior Sept descended from 36.Lewy / Lughaidh and 35.Ithe, who were to be based on the Celtic Mairtine and the Celtic Erainn Septs there. The Celtic Cirraige Luachra Sept had their territory around Tralee in Co. Kerry with the Heremonian Ui Conaire Muscraige Corco Duibne Septs near Dingle who were descended from 90.Corc, a son of 89.Cairbre Musc and his sister, 90.Dubinn, who was another of the 3 sons and a daughter also of *69.Conaire 11 who had been the Heremonian 111th King of Tara / Ireland, and the Muscraige Mittinein also descended from the 89.3 Cairbres were in the centre of Munster below the Eoghanachta and Deisi Mumhan. St. Finnbarr who was a son of a metal worker to Prince Tigherach had founded a monastery on Corcaigh Island / Marshy Place, which would in due course become the City of Cork in Co. Cork in Southern Munster.
Scotland (The Land of the Scottii / Irishmen) After the 6th Century AD Strathclyde and Rheged were still in existence and were also still under the control of the Britons. The Celtic Gaelic Milesian Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Riada Scottii kingdom was also in the Highlands of Scotland and spreading out, and the new German Teutonic races of the Jutes, the Angles and the Saxons, who would eventually become the genetic basis for the new English were also expanding from Northumbria into the Lowlands. The kingdom of the Celtic Scythian Cruthin Gaelic Priteni / Pictii / Painted People was in the North of Clyde and Forth in the Highlands also, where the Goidelic language was in use. The Heremonian Dal Cuinn "northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain Scottii / Irish in their kingdom of Dal Riada under the leadership of 89.Aedan’s grandson, 91.Donnell / Domhnall Breac was to eventually push the frontier territory of the Scottii in Alba / Albany up the Great Glen nearly to Inverness where they were to be defeated, while the German Teutonic Angles advanced in the south crossing both the River Forth and the River Tay. (St. Canice / Kenneth, who had died at Aghaboe in Co. Kilkenny in Southern Leinster was highly venerated in Scotland where several Churches in Argyle (The Land of the Gael) are named after him, and eventually Kenneth mac Alpine (843 AD to 858 AD) would unite the Gaelic Milesians and the Gaelic Picts becoming the King of the Gaels and the Gaelic Picts, and therefore basically the first overall King of Scotland.
Under the Celtic Brehon Law the Celts all had equal shares of land in their territories, and their genealogies were even more important now to sustain their particular Septs individual Family rights over these territories. Meanwhile the "Golden Age" in Ireland had begun during the 6th Century AD with the beginning of the monastic schools, and would last until the coming of the Teutonic Vikings, when Ireland would become known as the "Island of Saints and Scholars," as her missionaries would travel throughout Europe during and after the "Dark Ages" establishing Christian religious centres everywhere they went. This Century St. Cuthbert was to also go on a sea voyage to spread Christianity.
