ULCERS - Symptoms: Ulcers are a Sore that will not heal usually internally in the Lining of the Stomach or Duodenum / Peptic Ulcers - the gateway to the Small Intestine just downstream from the Stomach where they are exposed to the Digestive Enzyme Pepsin. Men are 4 times more susceptible then Women and the risk rises with Age and Allergies can also make you more Ulcer - prone especially Respiratory Allergies.
Cause: Stress can create the environment for this Condition but the real cause is often an infection by Bacteria - Helicobacter pylori also known as Campylobacter pylori. Fresh Cabbage Juice assists beginning with 1 small cup a day to eventually taking 5 small cups a day. Can be Juiced with a stalk of Celery and an Apple or add the Cabbage Juice to a luke warm broth. Eat Bananas and Yoghurt. Use whole Grains instead of Refined Flour products. Use a variety of fresh Fruits and Vegetables. Mix equal parts of the dried herbs, Slippery Elm Bark 33%, Marshmallow Root 33%, Liquorice 33%. Dosage: Take 2 Capsules just before meals 3 times a day. A well balanced diet is required that is low in red meat and Spices with the majority made up mostly of Vegetables and whole Grains. Herbs: Anti - Ulcer Fruit Drink: Blend Blueberry Juice, Pineapple Juice, a Banana and Cinnamon, Cloves and Ginger and Honey, if desired. Garnish with a Peppermint Sprig. Also used for Heartburn. Myrrh: Pineapple: similar to Cabbage, endowed with Glutamine that has Anti - Ulcer effects and Bromelain a Digestive aid. Red Pepper: contains Capsaicin that may assist to prevent Ulcers. Rhubarb: used for Bleeding Ulcers. N.B: Be careful when using as it is a powerful Laxative and if Diarrhoea occurs cut back the amount or discontinue using. Slippery Elm Powder : 1 teaspoon before each meal. Turmeric: in 250mg Capsules taken 3 times a day it is used to relieve Ulcer pain. Yellow Root Tincture: is an Anti - Biotic that should assist to control Helicobacter pylori by using a teaspoon in Juice or Tea 1 - 2 times a day. N.B: Untreated Helicobacter pylori Virus is linked to Stomach Cancer and must be taken seriously so see a Doctor. Drugs, especially Anti - Inflammatory including Aspirin are often the cause of Ulcers and always take regular Ginger drinks if taking Drugs. External Ulcers: Use a Poultice of Charcoal & Linseeds or Cabbage alternated with Clay or use Slippery Elm Powder, Comfrey and Carrot Leaves with Honey. Herbs: Use also Bedtime Blend, Chamomile, Comfrey, Bugle, Calendula, Lemon Balm, Mallow, Meadowsweet, Paddy's Lucerne & Valerian. Hard Ulcers: Chamomile. Also use Comfrey Ointment or Brassica Cream. Internally: Calendula & Cleavers. Compound Infusions: Comfrey Leaves - 4 parts, Stinging Nettles - 4, Burdock - 2, Dandelion Leaves - 2, Echinacea - 1.
