Davis. Welsh origins. Thomas Davis was a founder of the Young Irelander movement, who also coined the phrase "You must educate to be Free" spent much of his childhood in Templederry / Mallow and was related on his mothers side to Donnell Cam O Sullivan of Beare in Co. Cork in Southern Munster who is also well known for standing up to the English persecution in his region.
