721 AD The Battle of Druim Fornocht occurred between *99.Flaherty / Flaithbertach a Cenel Conall Prince / Tanaiste, the son of *98.Lynch / Loingseach the previous Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 154th King of Ireland, and his Cenel Conaill followers, over who now had the authority in the north of the Ulster Province who were up against *99.Aedh Allan the 18th King of Ailech, a Cenel nEogain Prince / Tanaiste who was the son of *98.Fergal mac Maele Duin the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 151st King of Ireland. The Cenel nEogain Sept under *99.Aedh Allan were defeated and some of his Cenel nEogain Chiefs were also killed, including Flann, the son of Erthaile, and Snedgus Dearg Ua Brachaidhe. 

      97.Eterscel the previous Eoghanacht Aine Ui Endae 17th King of Cashel / Munster, died at Cashel, who was a son of 96.Mael Umai, who was a son of 95.Cuan the previous 12th King of Cashel / Munster descended from 91.Ailill the direct male line ancestor of the Eoghanacht Aine Sept, a grandson of 89.Conall Corc the 1st King of Cashel / Munster descended from 85.Eoghan Mor (Eoghanachta.) 97.Cormac, the son of 97.Ailill, the son of 96.Maenach the previous 13th King of Cashel / Munster became the Eoghanacht Chaisil 18th King of Cashel / Munster.

      99.Cathal mac Finguine was now the Eoghanacht Glendamnach 19th King of Cashel / Munster, who was a son of 98.Finguine the previous 16th King of Cashel / Munster was harrying the territory of the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill in Brega in Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster, who was now allied with 102.Murrough / Murchad the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 14th King of Leinster until *98.Fergal mac Maele Duin the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 151st King of Ireland made peace with him. 

     The son of Talamnach mac Laidcind the previous Heremonian Ui Conaire Muscraige Corco Baiscind King who had his territory in the west of Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province was killed in a conflict between the Corco Baiscind Sept and the 3 Connachta Septs due to the declining fortunes of the Dal Cuinn Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept 's authority there into what was in reality then still a part of Southern Connacht that is now part of Thomond / Northern Munster.

      The Battle of Magh Itha occurred over who now had the overall authority in the north of the Ulster Province, between the sons of *98.Lynch / Loingseach the previous Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 154th King of Ireland, and the sons of *98.Fergal / Fearghal mac Maele Duin the previous Dall Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 156th King of Ireland, and many from the Cenel nEogain Sept were to be killed. *99.Aed Allan the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 18th King of Ailech, the son of *98.Fergal mac Maele Duin, had led the Cenel nEogain Sept against the Cenel Conaill Sept, and Conaing, the son of Congal, was among those who were slain from the Cenel nEogain Sept.

722 AD *98.Kenneth / Cinaeth the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine 158th King of Ireland was killed in the Battle of Druim Corcrain by 99.Flaherty / Flaithbertach, the Tanaiste, who was a son of *98.Lynch / Loingseach the previous Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 154th King of Ireland. *98.Kenneth had been a son of 97.Irgalach, the son of 96.Conaing Cuirrc, a son of 95.Congal, one of the 5 sons of 94.Aed Slaine the joint 141st King of Ireland descended from 91.Conall Cremthainne. He would be the last of his particular Siol nAedo Slaine male line to have access to the Kingship for nearly 200 years.

     103.Colgan / Colcu the Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig King of Ardda Lathran / Ladrann who had his territory near Gorey in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Southern Leinster, died, who was a son of 102.Bressal, a son of 101.Fiachra, one of the 2 sons of 100.Crundmael the previous 9a King of Leinster, a son of 99.Ronan who may have been the 8th King of Leinster descended from 94.Enda Cennsalach the Cu Corb 2nd King of Leinster. (103.Colgan was to be the father of 104.Aed mac Colgain the future 17a King of Leinster).

723 AD 101.Indrechtach the previous Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muireadhaigh 21st King of Connacht, died peacefully at Clonmacnoise in Co. Offaly in the mid - west of Southern Leinster, who had previously assisted the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Septs in the south of the Connacht Province. He was one of the 2 sons of 100.Muiredach Muillethan the 18th King of Connacht who had died in 702 AD the direct male line ancestor of the Sil Muireadhaigh (Sil Murray) Sept descended from 90.Brion the first Dal Cuinn King of Connacht.

      The Heremonian Dal Cuinn Ui Ailello Sept descended directly from 90.Ailill, who had been a brother to 90.Fiachra (Ui Fiachrach) and 90.Brion (Ui Briuin) who had their territory in the north of Magh nAi in the Connacht Province, who together had previously made up the 3 Connachta Septs, were still in the decline, and this also gave further impetus to the growing strength of the other individual Ui Briuin Septs descending from 90.Brion in that region to absorb their territory and the Ui Ailello Sept. 90.Ailill had also been a half - brother to 90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland (Ui Niall.)  

     99.Cathal mac Finguine who would be the Heberian Eoghanacht Glendamnach 19th King of Cashel / Munster until 742 AD was to try to restrict the Dal Cuinn Ui Niaill Septs to their territory in Conn's Half /  Leth Cuinn in Northern Leinster, attempting to stop them from achieving their ambition of totally gaining the overall High Kingship of Ireland.

 723 - 729 AD *99.Flaherty / Flaithbertach became the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 159th King of Ireland, who was a son of 98.Lynch / Loingsech the previous 154th King of Ireland, a son of 97.Angus / Oengus, one of the 2 sons of *96.Donnell mac Aedo the 146th King of Ireland descended from 91.Conall Gulban the 1st King of Ailech. *99.Flaherty immediately sent off to Dal Riada for their fleet to come to Ireland and they arrived in Inis hOinae. A battle then began between the followers of *99.Flaherty and the Heberian Cianachta Sept who had their territory at Keenaught in the north - east of the Ulster Province, and others from the Ulaid Septs who had their territory in the east of Ulster, and the Cenel nEogain Sept, and a great number of the Cenel  nEogain, Cianachta and Ulidians were cut off, together with Conchobar,  the son of Loichene, and Bran Dubh the son of Bran. Many were to be drowned in the River Branna, and they were to be defeated, and although *99.Flaherty was to reign until 729 AD he was to fail to maintain the Cenel Conaill Sept's overall authority against the interests of the Cenel nEogain Septs, who were now under the leadership of *99.Aed Allen the 18th King of Ailech there in the north of Ulster, who was the Cenel nEogain Tanaiste and a son of *95.Fergal mac Maele Duin the previous 156th King of Ireland.

724 AD All the Abbots of Iona / Holy Island down to this time, situated between Ireland and Scotland, except for two out of twelve, were from 94.St. Columbcille's own Heremonian Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill Sept who were all celibate and took holy orders.

726 AD Eochy / Eochaidh was to be the King of Dal Riada until the year 733 AD, who was descended from Eochy / Eochaidh the King of Dal Riada who had died in 697 AD descended from *69.Conaire 11 the 111th King of Tara / Ireland.

727 AD 102.Murrough / Murchad the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 14th King of Leinster, died, who was the son of 101.Bran Mut the previous 12th King of Leinster, whose father was 100.Conall, the son of 99.Faelan the 10th King of Leinster who had died in 666 AD, and who was descended from 94.Dunlaing the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Dunlainge Sept. (102.Murrough / Murchad was to be the father of 4 sons who would all be Kings of Leinster in succession and leave their own individual Cu Corb Septs and Kings.

728 AD Tailech the Luigni King, a son of Kennelly / Cenn Faelad, died this year, as did Rechtabra the Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Thuirtre King, who was a grandson of Cathasach. who had their territory in upper and lower Toome north and north - east of Loch Neagh above Tulach Oc in Co Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province to the west, and east of the Sperrin Mountains.

      The Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill by now had basically consolidated into 2 separate dynasties descending from 2 of the sons of *94.Aed Slaine the previous joint 141st King of Ireland descending from 91.Conall Cremthainne, one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th High King of Tara / Ireland in the late 4th Century AD who is the direct male line ancestor of all of the Ui Niaill Septs. Both of their territories were in the Midlands / Midhe / Meath in Northern Leinster where the Siol n Aedo Slaine Sept (Seed of *94.Aed of Slaine) were the Kings of Brega who had their territory in the north - east of Meath, and the Clann Cholmain Sept (Children of 94.Colman Mor) had their main territory in Co. Westmeath in the west of Meath. From 595 AD the Siol nAedo Slaine Sept had previously been the one to provide the southern Ui Niaill Kings of Ireland. With the previous demise of *98.Kenneth / Cinaed the Dal Cuinn southern Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine 158th King of Ireland, emanating from *94.Aed Slaine, the Clann Cholmain Sept would shortly begin to come into its own also. From now on all of the southern Ui Niaill Kings were to come from the male line of 94.Colman Mor, except for much later on in 943 AD to 954 AD when *104.Congalach Cnogba - of Knowth the King of Knowth was to successfully restore the Kingship of Ireland to the Siol nAedo Slaine Sept in Brega for the very last time when he would then become the Siol nAedo Slaine 172nd King of Ireland.

      100.Donnell / Domhnall the Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai 22nd King of Connacht, died, who was a son of 99.Kelly / Ceallach the previous 19th King of Connacht, one of the 3 sons of 98.Reilly / Raghallach the 12th King of Connacht who was the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Sept descended from 90.Brion. (100.Donnell's son, 101.Flaithri would become the future 29th King of Connacht).

     103.Dunchad the Heremonian Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 15th King of Leinster, died, who was one of the 4 sons of 102.Murrough / Murchad the previous 14th King of Leinster, the son of 101.Bran Mut the 12th King of Leinster descended from 94.Dunlaing the direct male line ancestor of the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Sept descended from 86.Cu Corb. 103.Dunchad would become the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Dunchada Sept as his son,104.Kelly / Ceallach would become the 19th King of Leinster. The Ui Dunchada were to later on adopt the surname of mac Gilla Mo - Cholmoc and in 1170 AD because of their location in Southern Leinster to the English Pale were to side with the Anglo - Norman English after the Invasion and battle in Dublin, and take up the Norman name of Fitz Dermot. (Son of Diarmait.)

    103.Faelan became the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 16th King of Leinster, who was another son also of 102.Murrough / Murchad the previous 14th King of Leinster, and a brother to 103.Dunchad the previous 15th King of Leinster.

729 AD Angus / Oengus who was the the Scythian Gaelic King of the Picts allied with the Teutonic Angles in Alba / Scottish Highlands and attacked the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Scottii in their kingdom of Dal Riada capturing Dunadd and Dunolly, and drowned the King of Dal Riada and during the next 10 years of conflict they were to subject the Heremonian Scottii Septs in Dal Riada who were all descended from *69.Conaire 11 the previous 111th King of Tara / Ireland,

729 AD *99.Flaherty / Flaithbertach the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 159th King of Ireland, the son of *98.Lynch / Loingsech the previous 154th King of Ireland, was challenged by *96.Aed Allan the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 18th King of Ailech in the north of the Ulster Province, and he was defeated after a sea battle off the mouth of the River Bann although the men from the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Dal Riada Sept there had also come to his aid. *99.Flaherty was deposed and forced to abdicate becoming the very last King of Ireland from the Cenel Conaill Sept descended from 91.Conall Gulban - the 1st King of Tyrconnell / Co. Donegal, one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland, but this would allow him to personally survive until 765 AD.

730 - 738 AD *96.Aed Allen / Olann was the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 160th King of Ireland, who was one of the 2 sons of *95.Fergal mac Maele Duin the previous156st King of Ireland also descended from 91.Eogan the 1st King of Ailech, one of the 8 sons of *90.Niall of the Nine Hostages. The following Septs in the Ulster Province were now under the overall authority of the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain Sept, 9 individual Septs in the Heremonian Dal Cuinn 3 Colla kingdom of Orghialla / Airghialla were to be effected, as well the Ui mac Cairthinn Sept who had their territory south of Loch Foyle, the Ui Fiachrach Arda Stratha Sept and the Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Ui Thuirtri Sept who had their territory to the west and the east of the Sperrin Mountains, the Ui Mac Uais Septs, the Fir Chraibe Sept and the Fir Li Sept on the western side of the River Bann, The Dal Cuinn Colla Da Crioch Airthir - Oriors Sept of Armagh, the Colla Da Crioch Ui Chremthainn Sept who had their territory to the west in Co. Fermanagh and into Co. Tyrone and Co. Monaghan, the Colla Da Crioch Ui Meith Sept and the Colla Mend Mugdorna Septs in Co. Monaghan.  

730 AD The Battle of Bealach Ele occurred between 99.Cathal mac Finguine the Eoghanacht Glendamnach 19th King of Cashel / Munster and the Septs in Southern Leinster and many from there were killed. Among these were Kelly / Ceallach who was by now the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Dal Messin Corb Ui Garrchon King of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster, who was a son of Faelchair, and 2 of the sons of Cormac the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Deisi King, a son of Rossa, along with 3,000 others. (This was to bring a very short end to the Cu Corb Dal Messin Corb Ui Garrchon Sept's male line to the Kingship of Ossory.

    Forbassach, who was a son of Ailill, became the new King of Ossory, in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Leinster until 735 AD. 

      The Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province now became the Royal Fortress of the Kings of Cashel / Munster and as they were also Bishops they wrote up the Book of Rights / Brehon Laws. (At this time a Bishop (supervisor) was equal to a King of a Tuatha (Family region.)

      98.Airechtach the Dal Cuinn northern Ui Fiachrach Muaide King, died, who was also a grandson of 96.Dunchad Muirisci, the previous 16th King of Connacht, descended from 92.Fiachnae the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Fiachrach Muaide Sept, who was one of the 3 sons of *91.Nathi the 127th King of Tara / Ireland, the son of 90.Fiachra the direct male line ancestor of all of the Ui Fiachrach Septs in Connacht.
